A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. Labour isn't working.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Me too. I would if I was him. I would dream up new completely ludicrous things to say each day 🤣
I pointed this out to the cultists and they couldn't understand, but there again they collectively have a sense of humour failure

Edited

I am utterly bored of trying to explain to Labour supporters that people aren't turning to Reform because they actually like Farage.
It's like banging your head against a wall! I won't bother in future. Let them hyperventilate over the taliban tax 🤣.
Anyway, I'm far-right now, apparently, and you have shown your true colours. We might as well start watching GB News and following Tommy R. May as well get hung for a sheep as for a lamb. Fuck it 😂😂.
It's a shame though, my local shop don't even sell the telegraph.

Yep the more they shout "far right" "farage lover" etc the more I think fuck it yeh might as well.

What part of their brain honestly thinks that by insulting people, they will turn them to their way of thinking?
God forbid I ever vote Labour again if it means turning into one of them!

My champagne socialist dyed in the wool Labour voters of parents have finally admitted that they see a Reform government and that Labour are a shower of shit!
That's 65 years of voting Labour for each of them!

People don't forgive a government that goes after their children and grandchildren, I'm glad but not surprised that your parents have reacted that way.

It's taken them long enough and they support the tax on education but I think with DHs redundancy they are realising that there's another side to the story

TheNuthatch · 28/08/2025 20:58

We can't TAAT, against talk guidelines etc, but Jesus christ! WTAF.
Have they lost their minds?

I hope they soon see the errors of their ways, for your DD's sake.

OMG, I hope for the poster's sake that the clip is removed. I don't like the way our every move is captured on camera these days.

I have to say that I found the way she jumped on the flag in rage rather sickening.

@CruCru back to starmers first speech as pm

We will tread lightly on your lives...

As we fleece you for every single penny

It’s also about the messaging - that tweet from Bridget Phillipson about “our children” (not including any children who go to independent school) and all the talk about “working people” and “unearned income”. I used to have a landlord at university who owned 40 properties - it was a business and he kept a plumber, electrician and two builders on the payroll. He earned his income.

It’s a weird feeling, realising that your Government hates you, despite receiving a fair whack of tax from you.

I'm so sorry that they support the education tax. That must hurt. I avoid speaking about it with family who I think might support it. Glad they're finally seeing the other side.

Yep they want my money but don't think they should represent my child purely based on the type of school she goes to. In fact after taking my money they then believe they can exclude her from cerain things. They hate our existence but are happy to bleed us dry.

We hardly speak now because of it. My Dad rang me today so I think that was his way of apologising but it's too little too late in reality.

Parsley4321 · 28/08/2025 21:12

@twistyizzy how do they justify it ? I have a friend who thought it was right until I explained to her and now her GS echp will be taken away under phillipsons aspirations she might think different

Because they are socialists. Champagne version so free from any impact though obviously 😏. Happy enough to send me to a grammar but independent for their only grandchild was a step too far 🙄

Parsley4321 · 28/08/2025 21:19

@twistyizzy that's tough do they go to her concerts and sports days ?
