A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. Labour isn't working!

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

This!!
Of course they bc would weasel out with any old excuse /fine for the poor actual working classes to be blighted, don’t suppose they’re offering the Soho Farmhouse hotel…

I thought about that location myself. It’s ideal. Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire. Near all the politicians and luvvies. Perfect. But weirdly it’s not been proposed?

Absentmindedsmile · 22/08/2025 15:21

We’ll need a new thread soon..

And would wonderfully culturally enrich the area!

The luvvies’ kids could learn Somali!
And their daughters could meet young gentleman from diverse and interesting backgrounds rather than the boring local young farmers.

I'm happy to leave the ehcr ,we are one of the oldest democracies in the world ,the USA condition is based on our magna cater.

I'm sure we can cope without the ehcr just like we did for centuries before .

I took DD to see the MC at Durham cathedral a few weeks ago. To see it close up is mind blowing so yes I agree with you. We managed fine without ECHR for that long

Oh @twistyizzy i thought we were friends 😂
Dry robes are the best invention (not incl camouflage ones..), game changer for swimming days! Although not sure there are many in Manchester. A quarry maybe? Local leisure centre complete with manky plasters on the floor..?

He was 100% right and under different circumstances I still maintain he would have been a good PM

EmpressoftheMundane · 30/08/2025 10:57

I think he was a good PM. He played a terrible hand well. We were lucky to have such an intelligent person at such a difficult time.
