A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. Labour isn't working!

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

I know it’s unpopular but looking at the debt loop, a lot of economists say that those corrections were going to happen, she just forced the pace. That’s been shown to be true and labour have continued to flog a dead horse, policy wise

Parsley4321 · 21/08/2025 07:54

Yes I’ve listened to a few people since Truss who said she was on the right lines but she was a terrible communicator one things certain These clowns are really not along the right lines. When you see who has left Dyson Mullins the other brothers what was their tax donation definitely millions it’s a total joke. The benefits have to be cut growth has to be helped and these imbeciles have to go. My wet wipe flute playing MP would not know a good business idea ever

Good luck to anyone’s kids picking up GCSE results today!

TheNuthatch · 21/08/2025 08:28

@Arrearing50 I like the sound or that podcast. I'm off work today so will try and listen to it later. Agree on Truss.

Currently sat outside school in the car waiting for DD to appear with her GCSE results 😬.

I’ve got my fingers crossed - next year for my one! So stressful!!!

yes they go from a politics degree to a spell in a union or SPAD role into government - most of them have no idea on business.

Arrearing50 · 21/08/2025 09:56

Oooooh it’s dd’s worst subject too, biology! A 7 is a great result! It was one of my worst too…

Aw thank you all. It is a huge relief. DD is my youngest and she's had a rough ride at school so it's been tough. We were both in tears when we saw her results.

This year's cohort missed so much through covid, including the transition to secondary school. They should all be really bloody proud of themselves ❤️

Ds has done really well. He got a crop of high grades and he can do the A-levels he wanted, including Further Maths as a fourth. So brilliant, but he seems a bit flat about it all - I think it was quite sad as the reality of all his mates scattering to different colleges sunk in.

Yey! Fantastic.
Sorry he's feeling a bit flat about his mates moving on. Its a big change for them isn't it. I hope he feels better once he's had chance to absorb everything. DD has been doing a really good impression of a rabbit in headlights this morning. Lots of emotions on results day ❤️
