I don’t know why they called it that it seems tasteless by modern standards like some sort of ITV reality show like Love Island

We have a largely 11th century cathedral with the longest uninterrupted nave in the world and two towers. The city was badly damaged in the Baedeker bombings of WW2 but the cathedral was largely unscathed. Our city was a hub for the wool trade in medieval times. We have a highly rated university and hospital.

From a high building in the centre of the city it is possible to see fields in all directions.

We are at the end of a motorway.

We have everything a bigger city has, but on a smaller scale. Theatres, cinemas, restaurants, markets.

We aren't very industrial, most of our employment is in the service sector.

Tommy Cooper grew up here, Rabbi Lionel Blue was sent here during the war, and JK Rowling went to university here.

Is it Exeter?

Thomas Lord was born in my town.
It has one of Britain's oldest operating cinemas.
It has a race course.
Is the home of some famous vets.

We have Britain’s busiest railway station (apparently - not sure how they measure that).

Is mentioned in my username 😆

Good luck 👍

I live in a village overlooked by the tallest freestanding structure in England, next to s village famous for very large pies. The next village in a different direction is home to a Dr Who!.

Mary Queen of Scots bid out in our castle. We had major flooding in 2005 and then again in 2009
