Harry Potter never came here.
Harry Potter was never filmed here.
But that doesn't stop us having at least 4 Harry Potter shops on our most famous street.

Honestly, it's a Shambles....

Andoutcomethewolves · 20/07/2025 18:53

You're in Brighton.

Guess mine. Pulled down a statue of a racist/ slave owner. (Yes I was there)

Also a famed graffiti artist (who I know personally)

I've moved since but for almost 20 years I live in a town that was/is:

Home to many a "secret" (which aren't secret at all if you live here), gig.
Home to a famous F1 driver, (although I'm not sure he still races), when he was a child......who I've still not forgiven for picking the daffodils from my front garden.
Quite artisan in places, but a shithole in others and home to Pearl Lowe and the drummer from Supergrass.

We have Britain’s busiest railway station (apparently - not sure how they measure that).

Is mentioned in my username 😆

Good luck 👍

That’s a sneaky clue since Clapham Junction is in Battersea not Clapham!!

I live in a village overlooked by the tallest freestanding structure in England, next to s village famous for very large pies. The next village in a different direction is home to a Dr Who!.

I can see said structure from my house 😀
I live near the highest market town in South Yorkshire
Top Gear filmed an episode there a few years ago and delighted in taking the mickey out of the name.
The secondary school there was founded more than 600 years ago and still has the same name.

Lund · 20/07/2025 19:34

Tommy Cooper was born here.

We have the largest castle in Wales (third largest in UK)

Famous for its cheese!
