We’ve got an island, slot machines, coaches - and a British sitcom which occurred in 2007.

We are part of a much larger city but people here like to pretend we’re not really a part of said city.

We have the largest, or one of the largest, urban parks in Europe.

Our MP considers himself above the riffraff (and went to court over some words).

Sutton Coldfield.

I live in a village overlooked by the tallest freestanding structure in England, next to s village famous for very large pies. The next village in a different direction is home to a Dr Who!.

Brighton.

My town is known as the Gateway to Cornwall. There is a statue erected to a renowned woman championship gig rower from the 19th century. The wife of Sir Francis Drake lived here.

Bradford? Hockney had an exhibition Saltaire, lovely place.

I've moved since but for almost 20 years I live in a town that was/is:

Home to many a "secret" (which aren't secret at all if you live here), gig.
Home to a famous F1 driver, (although I'm not sure he still races), when he was a child......who I've still not forgiven for picking the daffodils from my front garden.
Quite artisan in places, but a shithole in others and home to Pearl Lowe and the drummer from Supergrass.

The queen once spent a night in the royal train in a siding here.
I love in a city which is often thought of as a suburb of another more famous city but was actually a city in its own right way before the more famous one was
I'm on the border of a place that is famous for cakes.
