What did you eat today?

A few months ago there was a really fun series of threads where people listed what they’d eaten that day (and had a general chat).

I really enjoyed it but can’t find it anymore so I thought I’d start one.

It was really interesting and varied (it’s not a weight loss or judgy thread- unless the judgement is ‘that sounds delicious, what’s the recipe/where did you buy it?’). Everyone is welcome!

Today I’ve had:
Breakfast- Scrambled eggs, sautéed veg (tomatoes, red onion, spinach, mushrooms). And tea with milk.

Snack- Americano with milk

Lunch- Chicken salad (chicken breast, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, avocado, sesame dressing).
Followed by low fat Greek yoghurt with peanut butter, strawberries, nectarine and blueberries.

Dinner- Will be roasted salmon, homemade potato wedges, roasted courgette/tomato/onion/fennel.
Followed by a watermelon and lime ice lolly (I make my own so it’s just fruit).

I’ve just started weight watchers so it’s not the most exciting day (I’ve also tried to cut out UPFs as much as possible and use my points on high fat whole foods like avocado and nuts). I’m looking forward to living vicariously through other people’s treats!

I’ve eaten loads today, but walked miles and miles.

Coffee
slice of seeded sourdough toast with avocado and tomato
eat natural bar
vegan sausage roll
pint of cider and a bag of crisps
pint of shandy and a smallish portion of chips
tempeh, mushrooms, peppers and kale stir fried with some kimchi

Not much as hungover and delicate!
had half a ham sandwich for lunch.
Now have a bit of an appetite and am just waiting for roast beef and all the trimmings.

Sausage sandwich for lunch, I’d have cooked the sausages longer, but beggars…

helped Ds make eclairs, ate two but they were small.

roast pork for dinner, but I had a cry before I ate as I was in absolute agony from helping make eclairs but was also really hungry. And it just sucked as being in pain makes Me Not want to eat. Managed some, dh made most of it and it was good, I got him to use ghee for the roasties which was nice but he used quite a bit!

B: half a shop bought waffle. It was disgusting and didn’t finish it. Even sugar fiend youngest child agreed.
L: tomato soup and grilled cheese
D: home made chicken curry and daal

Thanks @MrsSethGeckolots of painkillers and the tens machine have helped move things on a bit. I’m having surgery in November on one hip but I’m going to have to admit at some point that the other one is giving me more and more pain than it ever has and is going to need surgery in the next two years.

Sundays are usually the day I’d bake and make a wonderful roast and hot pudding and go for a lovely walk and I just can’t do any of it. It’s rubbish.

I love these threads. Yesterday was a "heavy" food day for me.

I had 2 slices of bloomer toast with butter and avocado for breakfast and one cup of coffee.

Then lunch was left over spag bol & grated cheddar cheese and chilli slices.

Then dinner was rice, grilled chicken & salad. One small kit kat bar. And some graze mix

Today ive had a cup of coffee. I'll have 2 boiled eggs and a banana for lunch/brunch. Then chicken salad later on in the day. Tonight ill have kept over from last night.

Plan for today

lunch - cohen’s company bagel with cream cheese and gravadlax - the children may have eaten the bagels. I’ll cry. But I’ll understand.
Dinner - left over pork in wraps with peppers and onions.

Today-
Breakfast is porridge, raisins, pumpkin seeds and pumpkin spice
Lunch is the end of the beetroot soup, a cheese and apple chutney sandwich
Dinner- onion rings I think. I've just pulled my huge onions out of the allotment and I fancy a big bowl of lovely onion rings.
Child requested jam Roly Poly so probably some of that!

@MrsSethGecko that’s weird, I had a very specific dream last night about going to my allotment (I can’t at the moment) and pulling up massive onions (I haven’t got any in). It’s obviously that time of year!

@Thistlecrane at 400 calories a portion id eat that and then celery for the rest of the day 😆

I had a Cadbury delight earlier, that’s my mj treat.

And the kids hadn’t eaten all the bagels! I chopped up my salmon with a small amount of low fat cream cheese and some of the dill mustard sauce and spread it on my air fried bagel. It was delicious!

We found more ink cap mushrooms this morning so breakfast is those with two eggs and wholemeal bread
Lunch, cheese and apple chutney sandwich
Dinner is possibly veg curry and rice.

If the children haven’t eaten the last bagel that will be lunch!

Dinner is stir fry with extra sprouts as i forgot to get dh to cook them with the roast. He’ll just have to fart through karate.

Golden syrup porridge sachet mixed with half scoop of protein powder, topped with chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, blueberries, banana

Protein flatbread with egg mayo, avocado, tomato

Beyond Burger with cheese, potato wedges, rocket

Dark milk chocolate buttons, 3 dates, few walnuts

Also had a sugarfree apple tango, (current obsession) , elderflower drink, approx 7 cups of yorkshire tea, a flat white, 2 litres water

Bloody awful morning here and I just got splashed up the underside of my trousers and bottom whilst sitting at the bus stop.

Breakfast was toast and plum jam.
Lunch- cheese and chutney sandwich and an apple
Dinner- chickpeas with ras el hanout (NY Times recipe) and rice. Coconut sponge.

Sorry for the shit morning! Everyone overslept here.

Lunch…. God knows. I think it needs to be a yoghurt bowl as I need to use up some.

Dinner - chicken goujons and prepared veg and the sprouts I didn’t put in the stir fry.

I’ve got a pot of double cream that needs using today so might make a micro steam pudding to use it up.
