What did you eat today?

A few months ago there was a really fun series of threads where people listed what they’d eaten that day (and had a general chat).

I really enjoyed it but can’t find it anymore so I thought I’d start one.

It was really interesting and varied (it’s not a weight loss or judgy thread- unless the judgement is ‘that sounds delicious, what’s the recipe/where did you buy it?’). Everyone is welcome!

Today I’ve had:
Breakfast- Scrambled eggs, sautéed veg (tomatoes, red onion, spinach, mushrooms). And tea with milk.

Snack- Americano with milk

Lunch- Chicken salad (chicken breast, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, avocado, sesame dressing).
Followed by low fat Greek yoghurt with peanut butter, strawberries, nectarine and blueberries.

Dinner- Will be roasted salmon, homemade potato wedges, roasted courgette/tomato/onion/fennel.
Followed by a watermelon and lime ice lolly (I make my own so it’s just fruit).

I’ve just started weight watchers so it’s not the most exciting day (I’ve also tried to cut out UPFs as much as possible and use my points on high fat whole foods like avocado and nuts). I’m looking forward to living vicariously through other people’s treats!

No breakfast
Lunch tongue and swee chilli crisps sandwich
Evening a southern fried chicken style chicken breast , a small portion of baked beans and some strawberry yogurt.

Today I had real sugar cravings.
B: 2 coffees
L: cottage cheese, tomatoes and cucumber
Small pot of Greek yogurt with strawberries and agave
D: Creamy salmon pasta
S: (here goes...) 2 plums, some dates, 2 chocolate digestives, a YumYum, square of dark chocolate 🤦🏻‍♀️

It’s so interesting to see what other people eat, I think sometimes it’s easy to get stuck in a rut. Love this inspiration.

Did you eat the cheese and cake together? We’ve got a Dutch apple cake in the kitchen my mil made and it would be delicious with Lancashire or Caerphilly. Christmas cake is also fab with a sharp crumbly cheese. Mmmmmmmmm cheese.

Started the day strong with overnight oats/berries/flax
Continued well with a lunch of homemade hummus and roasted brocolli
Went downhill with some carrot cake this aft (but it’s one of my five a day right?)
Ended it by missing my proper dinner and having a ham salad cob

Cottage cheese, raspberries, chia seeds, honey

Protein flatbread with egg, bacon, avocado, sriracha mayo - so good

Dark chocolate buttons, dates, tortilla chips

Couldn't be bothered to cook, so had greek yogurt and protein powder mix, blueberries, mixed seeds, honey

I stick to same foods and meals to take away unknowns / decisions ! (autistic) Try to get 100g+ protein a day & a good mix of fruit/veg

Tried the Horlicks porridge as granola and it was much better.

Lunch will be veg and oat bake, m and s salad, cherry tomatoes

Kidney bean casserole, stir-fry veg, rice pudding.

bagel with tuna,sweetcorn,pickles and salad

will be - toad in the hole ,mashed potatoes,green beans and peas with gravy ( it was cold yesterday when I planned this but baking now 🤦🏽‍♀️)

Don't really eat breakfast.

Forgot to bring a lunch to work so had a cereal bar. (And I am too lazy to go to the shop).

Heading out to dinner after work so looking forward to that.

Far too much , mainly crisps. It's been the first day in over a month that I've had a real appetite.
