What did you eat today?

MumbleJumble123 · 12/07/2025 12:39

A few months ago there was a really fun series of threads where people listed what they’d eaten that day (and had a general chat).

I really enjoyed it but can’t find it anymore so I thought I’d start one.

It was really interesting and varied (it’s not a weight loss or judgy thread- unless the judgement is ‘that sounds delicious, what’s the recipe/where did you buy it?’). Everyone is welcome!

Today I’ve had:
Breakfast- Scrambled eggs, sautéed veg (tomatoes, red onion, spinach, mushrooms). And tea with milk.

Snack- Americano with milk

Lunch- Chicken salad (chicken breast, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, avocado, sesame dressing).
Followed by low fat Greek yoghurt with peanut butter, strawberries, nectarine and blueberries.

Dinner- Will be roasted salmon, homemade potato wedges, roasted courgette/tomato/onion/fennel.
Followed by a watermelon and lime ice lolly (I make my own so it’s just fruit).

I’ve just started weight watchers so it’s not the most exciting day (I’ve also tried to cut out UPFs as much as possible and use my points on high fat whole foods like avocado and nuts). I’m looking forward to living vicariously through other people’s treats!

@Early3Rise Milky Way Stars are immense.

Today- fruit and fibre cereal (I don't usually have cereal but we're staying with family and it's what there is)

Think we're going to a cafe for lunch, so sandwich of some kind

Dinner is going to be Bolognese and pasta.

therealmccoy1234 · 06/08/2025 08:38

Yesterday was no breakfast, toasted cheese and fried egg sandwich, protein shake, chilli with rice and tortilla chips and then a few snickers dates

Today will be scrambled eggs and a banana, some sort of cheese on toast, maybe garlic & herb cream cheese with giant tomato on top 🤤 then baked gnocchi. If I can be faffed to prep a fruit & yoghurt bowl for later then I'll have that with a cuppa tonight

This is more than I usually eat but I'm super active at the moment and soooo hungry!

one white chocolate Reese’s cup
jacket potato with a tin of chicken in white sauce. No fruit and veg, maybe tomorrow 🤣

MrsSethGecko · 06/08/2025 20:16

@FurForksSake ooh I absolutely love tinned chicken in white sauce! I used to work in a cafe years and years ago and they made their Chicken and Mushroom pie with that and tinned mushrooms. Lovely (if rather lazy and not the "homemade" pie they advertised!)

FurForksSake · 06/08/2025 20:20

Ha! Definitely not quite homemade! I often have a tin in the cupboard as it’s such an easy meal even with some toast. Really I should have added some broccoli and carrots at least to add some fibre.
