What did you eat today?

A few months ago there was a really fun series of threads where people listed what they’d eaten that day (and had a general chat).

I really enjoyed it but can’t find it anymore so I thought I’d start one.

It was really interesting and varied (it’s not a weight loss or judgy thread- unless the judgement is ‘that sounds delicious, what’s the recipe/where did you buy it?’). Everyone is welcome!

Today I’ve had:
Breakfast- Scrambled eggs, sautéed veg (tomatoes, red onion, spinach, mushrooms). And tea with milk.

Snack- Americano with milk

Lunch- Chicken salad (chicken breast, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, avocado, sesame dressing).
Followed by low fat Greek yoghurt with peanut butter, strawberries, nectarine and blueberries.

Dinner- Will be roasted salmon, homemade potato wedges, roasted courgette/tomato/onion/fennel.
Followed by a watermelon and lime ice lolly (I make my own so it’s just fruit).

I’ve just started weight watchers so it’s not the most exciting day (I’ve also tried to cut out UPFs as much as possible and use my points on high fat whole foods like avocado and nuts). I’m looking forward to living vicariously through other people’s treats!

Porridge and sugar

Ham, salad, cheese sandwich with coleslaw
3 apricots and some blueberries

Ribs, couple of shrimps, air fryer potatoes, coleslaw. Cantaloupe.

One glass wine. Coffee. Diet Pepsi. Water.

Cottage cheese with blueberries, raspberries, honey, chia seeds, mixed seeds, spoon peanut butter

Grilled bacon, hard boiled eggs, sriracha mayo, cherry tomatoes

Mushroom and pea risotto, rocket, balsamic glaze

Dates, dark chocolate buttons

Hawksmoor steak BBQed and sliced into a sourdough baguette with loads of salad and horseradish mayo. Homemade white chocolate cookie.

Snack: Madeleine, strawberries
D: chicken breast and salad, couple of squares of chocolate, home made cookie
Evening: 2x gin and slimline tonic.

Mozarella, tomato and pesto pizza

Breakfast was vanilla protein powder mixed with Greek yogurt, almond milk, chopped walnuts and a handful of granola with diced peaches.

Lunch was a hm bran muffin smothered with nut butter and a big mug of tea.

Dinner was a cajun creamy pasta dish with salad and a soda water.

B: Greek yogurt, Chia seeds, strawberries and blueberries
L: Veggie chicken kiev with roast potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage followed by apple and blackberry pie and cream
D: Nothing, fill from lunch!
S: slice of coffee and walnut cake, a square of dark chocolate, a pear and oceans of tea

Bag of mini cheddars

dinner was fajitas, dh made them and they weren’t great. He cut the pepper and onion really fine and it was really mushy and the wraps were chewy. I’ll have some form of snack when he goes out.

On holiday so everything is a bit haywire
B: filter coffee, slice left over pizza, two slices fruit loaf and butter
L: egg mayo and salad roll. White with butter, apple, some crisps and a slice cranberry and almond nougat ( also had a free shot of mead from the EH shop)
D: pasta with mushrooms and peppers and a feta and SD tomato sauce
More coffee
Small lemon cupcake
Planning on a glass of wine in a bit.

D: teriyaki salmon with sticky rice, tender stem broccoli and edamame.

Yesterday:

B - greek yoghurt, granola, raspberries
L - omelette, bag of crisps, strawberry yoghurt
D - turkey stuffed peppers, salad
Snack - two mini Turkish delight, two peppermint creams

Today's plan:

B - greek yoghurt, granola, raspberries
L - tuna salad, crisps, yoghurt
D - chicken stew, new potatoes, broccoli
Snack - freddo

Got up very late today and had yoghurt, some plums from the allotment and some pumpkin seeds

Lunch is mince on toast, cherry tomatoes, and a banana

Dinner will be butternut squash risotto and apple pie. Maybe a couple of oatcakes later on.

Edit- need to add Turkish Delight. I bloody love Turkish Delight.

L - 2 small pancakes, a few strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. Dollop of Greek yoghurt
D - home-made lasagne, 2 slices of garlic bread
