What are they, in your opinion?

I want crisps.
I love them all though.
I can't go buy 20 different varieties.
(Or can I? 🤔)
There'll definitely be some Kettle Chips Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar in my basket.

What else should I get?

Walkers prawn cocktail

SulkySeagull · 05/07/2025 11:36

Hula hoops for every day, spicy tomato wheat crunchies for special occasions

TheWeeDonkeyFella · 05/07/2025 11:37

Ooh Seabrook! Plain, salt & vinegar or cheese and onion.

So much for my healthy eating plans this weekend now...

No question.

Thebelleofstmarys · 05/07/2025 11:38

M&S truffle . Or the Spanish version with a cartoon bull on the packet . But they are very spendy.

Ophy83 · 05/07/2025 11:38

Kent crisps oyster and vinegar. I'm not sure if they are widely available but they sell them in waitrose and farm shops throughout Kent.

Also Brets. So many fantastic flavours, my favourites are poulet braisse, fromage de jura and aioli

Rosepalmaviolets · 05/07/2025 11:38

Smiths cheese & onion square crisps. Not even sure if they still make them.

i thought smiths but google told me walkers

Hesma · 05/07/2025 11:39

Tayto crisps are by far the best 😍

noblegiraffe · 05/07/2025 11:39

Unexpectedly Aldi's Ridged Flame Grilled Steak crisps, which are a rip-off of McCoys are my current favourite. They are way tastier and you get more in a bag.

So if you want a really meaty crisp, get to Aldi.

chipshopElvis · 05/07/2025 11:41

Pipers, chorizo or rosemary.

Tinytigertail · 05/07/2025 11:41

Torres Black Truffle crisps are absolutely addictive.

Longsight2019 · 05/07/2025 11:41

A new one on me: Lister’s. Spent £26 on a box of 15x150g of mixed flavours. Superb. Better than Kettles.

PiggieWig · 05/07/2025 11:44

Depends where you are in the country but if you can get your hands on some Lancashire Crisps salt and vinegar, they are the ultimate.
They have the perfect thickness/crunch/flavour balance.
Booths sells them, and local shops.

Brannigans beef and mustard but don't exhale through your nose while eating them

I used to love those, but haven’t seen them in shops for years. Where do you get yours?

BingoWasHisNameOo · 05/07/2025 11:44

Roysters

If you like salt & vinegar, try M&S Extreme Ridge Salt & Extra Vinegar crisps

Extreme Ridge Salt and Double Vinegar Potato Crisps | M&S

These Extreme Ridge Salt and Double Vinegar Potato Crisps are deeply ridged for crunch and flavour.

Scillygirlz · 05/07/2025 11:52

Controversial but I only like ready salted. The very best crisps ever (not just IMO but as a matter of unquestionable scientific fact) were M&S lightly salted potato squares. However these were discontinued and despite my increasingly abusive communications with their head office they appear not to be making a comeback any time soon.

Of the currently available varieties, Taylor’s (formerly Mackie’s) are the indisputable best, but they’re hard to come by. Occasionally in Lidl, otherwise seem only to be found in Scotland which is annoying because I live many hours from Scotland!

Burt’s merit an honourable mention as well.

Alaja · 05/07/2025 11:55

I might be looking at this with some seriously rose tinted glasses as I haven’t had them for years since coeliac diagnosis so they may not be as good as I remember them but sensations Thai sweet chilli, delicious

Just off to Costco to buy their giant (80 packs) box of Seabrook crisps, 20 of which are prawn cocktail. DP hates them, so they're all mine! Do you know anyone with a Costco card?

Oo! Thanks. Will try to get a card.
