Best crisps ever

What are they, in your opinion?

I want crisps.
I love them all though.
I can't go buy 20 different varieties.
(Or can I? 🤔)
There'll definitely be some Kettle Chips Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar in my basket.

What else should I get?

M&S truffle . Or the Spanish version with a cartoon bull on the packet . But they are very spendy.

I absolutely love these, but DH said they ‘smell like Halfords’ and put me off for a bit.

Seabrooks or McCoys C&O.

Cheesey Bugles

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 05/07/2025 16:59

Op you got it in the first post!!!!!! Delicious!
Also love veg crisps, those humous chip things, plain old walkers ready salted, and many posh M&S crisps.
Yum yum

Tayto cheese and onion/salt and vinegar/smokey bacon.

But proper real taytos not northern irish taytos. If ye are talking the yellow pack tayto ye are missing out.

The best crisps EVER were Burt’s pesto flavour.
They were incredibly good. I got them in Waitrose some years back and haven’t seen them anywhere since 😭

The best crisps ever were Seabrook straight cut cheese & onion BUT from back in the days before crinkle cut came along and ruined everything!
A decent ready salted will do me now, nothing fancy like a kettle chip, just a plain cut crisp.

Absolutely...Crinkle cut cheese and onion are just not the same...can't eat Seabrook anymore!!!!

postmanshere · 05/07/2025 17:06

Bacon wheat crunchies.

I love jalapeno and cheese Walkers Max!

And when I'm in Mallorca I love Lays Campesina flavour (herby tomato).

i dont like kettle crisps

Neither do I, they're too 'hard'. I prefer a Skip or a Space Raider 🤣

Tana433 · 05/07/2025 17:11

Walkers salt and vinegar or Walkers Sensations thai sweet chilli. i could live on crisps to be honest!

Oh god kettle chips of any flavour are my worst crisps, I hate them and never understand why people love them so much!

But I am a self declared child crisp fiend, my favourites are pickled onion monster munch, nice and spicy nik naks and cheese and onion hula hoops 😂 perhaps I’m just not a very sophisticated grown up!!

I did laugh at a post very early on about brannigans beef and mustard, I still remember when I was little that I had some of their ham and mustard crisps and the tingly feeling in my nose!

To me kettle chips plain crisps have a greasy after taste not pleasant by any means.

Does anyone remember Tudor crisps? The local shop used to sell them when i was a kid. The sausage and tomato flavour and also the gammon flavour were elite.

I remember Tudor crisps. Used to buy them in our school tuck shop in the 70s! I remember when they cost 2.5p!
I was about 4 then.

Brets (French, but available in the UK) do the best flavours IMO. I particularly like the tartiflette, aoli and mozzarella & pesto ones.

Ooh thanks! I did mention Brets earlier on - the tartiflette ones are my favourite. Closely followed by all the others. I wasn't aware you could get them here so thanks for the link.

BangersAndGnash · 05/07/2025 18:22
