Thanks @DuncinToffee
Perdy has decided the best option is to sleep until it’s all over.

I nicked this from my local FB page for this exact moment.

Bonus close up of her squishy little face.

Perdy must have been soooo hot last week, poor love.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 24/06/2025 17:30

Thanks for the new thread.
A rare photo of all the Grumpy cats in one place.

Thanks for the new thread.

Cat tax as per.

If there’s a suitcase, surely it’s for cats, yes?

Thanks for the new thread, @DuncinToffee . Wonder how long this will last? Meanwhile here is a landmark photo of Rigatoni, behaving like a proper cat for the first time in his life (None of my cats do boxes. This is a complete one off).

I’m politically very discombobulated right now. I don’t know what to think or who to believe.

PandoraSocks · 24/06/2025 17:46

No cats, but ladybirds having fun.

I have been for a while, @BIWI and hoping that ref@rm shoot theirselves in both feet before the next GE so I don't have to vote with them in mind.

A plume moth (lurking on some dusty blinds) that came in while it was still stupidly hot at 11pm last Friday. The best thing about hot nights is the weird bugs.

I know how you feel.

Thank you! I'm reading a book about the first Labour government. So much of it resonates. I'll try to take a picture of one of the paragraphs and share.

itsgettingweird · 24/06/2025 17:48

Oh look at those fluffy balls of joy!

PickAChew · 24/06/2025 17:51

I work hard to keep the house at a sensible temp with a rolling programme of open and shut windows and curtains, plus it’s old and generally cool, but there were a couple of days she was clearly unhappy, flopping out flat on the wood and tile bits of the floor.

You can get cooling gel mats, which she might appreciate. I've got one of my own, lurking somewhere 😂

I bought one for my daughter’s dog once. She seems ok regulating herself but I’ll bear them in mind.

Believe in yourself and your principles and start from there. Just like those MPs who have signed for the reasoned amendment.

Spandauer · 24/06/2025 18:20

Felicitations and multi-coloured toe beans for tax.

Starmer has certainly been a disappointment in some areas but I'm hanging in there with Labour for now.

Thanks for the new thread.

There is a problem though of would be dictators subtly conflating "principles" making choices hard. Look how many Europhile Tories ended up putting Boris Johnson in power.

Where does my aversion to the death penalty rank compared to my desire for decent benefits for the unfortunate ? What would I do if the only party offering the latter (luckily not going to happen) were to also have an official stated pro death penalty policy.
