A significant portion of the population of Iran does not support the Islamic Republic. One study indicated that 81% of Iranians currently residing in Iran do not support the current Islamic Republic.
Hopefully they can get their freedom back out of this. It would be a better, safer world.

Netanyahu is trying to prevent WW3, not start it. Trump is absolutely right to allow Israel to do this and Starmer is right to support it.

But the UK are going to have to choose a side here. And I absolutely would not want the government to be sympathetic to Iran. They’re dangerous, and I would imagine most of the world doesn’t want them developing nuclear weapons.

I'm in my mid/late 50s. The middle east has been a hotbed of unrest my entire life and before, long before I was a twinkle in my mum's eye. It's very sad but unfortunately it's just what they do in that part of the world.

As someone who knows absolutely ZERO about the Israel/Palestine conflict and what caused it, it’s all quite baffling and very hard to follow. I missed the beginning and do not have a clue what the history is/was/why they’re fighting, none of it and googling has me none the wiser

Why do we have to pick a side? Why can't we say its nothing to do with us and stay out of it? Surely the more counties that get involved the more then men in power in iran and israel will feel the need to make a show of power and act.
