No one actually told me about it. I was looking at a thread one night and then discovered I was being discussed. I didn't keep looking at the posts. They were far too poisonous. But there were a core of people on the thread lapping up every bit of gossip. The person making the posts just conveniently forgot to tell tattle that I had to go to police over a tweet she sent me threatening to maim me. She made tweets threatening to come to my home town and smash my windows. She had a hate account on twitter completely dedicated to me. She was part of a gang of ten people who harassed me for over a year on twitter and then they took it offline. I had to see police several times that year. She has some very unhinged online friends - they've done it to others. I didn't need all of that just when I was trying to put my life back together. And unfortunately the night I saw the first set of horrible posts - I had a uni essay due the next day. She was posting it all years after all of that stuff happened. There was no need for it.
I didn't know her. I had crossed paths with her on twitter but someone handed my full name over to them and then they set about trying to find as much information about me as they could. Maybe when people on tattle are clapping along at a nice piece of juicy gossip they might appreciate that they aren't being told the full truth. This woman sat for 15 months tweeting abuse and lies about me from behind a twitter block. She doxxed my brother - they had someone following me on a fake profile on Facebook That was to terrify me. We know this about you - how do we know it. She referred to this as a "row" on her posts on tattle.
That discussion was zero to do with the thread in question. It's not just the lies - it had nothing to do with the thread. It completely derailed it and went on for pages - and moderators should have removed the posts.
No I wasn't in the public eye. Sarah Jane Goodwin had made some offensive tweets to me and someone spotted them - and the person took it upon themselves to start slating me on her thread on tattle. And the folk on there were clapping along and leaving laughing and shocked face emoticons.
The girl also helpfully told people that I have ptsd. Which she helped cause. According to this person I don't take responsibility for my actions - absolute projection. She tweeted lies about me for 15 months. Lies which were put in a dossier to give to police. She also reported me to the dwp for benefit fraud (that I wasn't committing). So when someone is happily dishing the dirt on you all over the Internet - maybe they could at least be honest about their part in a targeted campaign to try and destroy your life (that would at least provide some balance to her nonsense). The information they found on me was posted up on a doxxing site. One hosted in China because the content was so vile the man behind it would have been arrested if he had hosted it in the Uk (has form for threatening people with bombs).
