The owner of hate forum Tattle Life has today been legally named as Sebastian Bond. He also goes by the alias Bastian Durward. He has tried to flee to Asia to avoid paying his legal costs.

The Ellie grey doxxing is actually incredibly concerning. I don’t know if im Naïve but I really really can’t see a consultant breast surgeon who has had cancer herself trolling someone on tattle?

Goody2ShoesAndTheFilthyBeast · 20/06/2025 17:37

That's a good point, what if people are misidentified? That's another lawsuit waiting to happen.

Especially now tattle users are seen so negativity. Being incorrectly identified could have real life consequences.

Roobarbtwo · 20/06/2025 17:57

There are so many people on here who seem to be making excuses for the stuff th
at happens to people. I'll just say that when I saw the stuff that was posted about me on tattle I had already been threatened and had stuff posted to my house. My brother doxxed and reported to the dwp and had threats to maim me. By the person who posted on tattle about me. And I didn't know them or tell them who I was. They found that out. So for anyone who just says don't look . You don't have a clue what you are talking about. Photos of my house went up on twitter too - and the person who defamed me on tattle was the biggest player. Seriously. Get lost if you think it's ok to be defamed online. It fucking isn't

I was harassed for 15 months off tattle and then that bitch crossed it over to tattle. I begged the site to remove the posts. Pages of them. But apparently all you need to do is not look. Fuck anyone with that point of view-apologist

baggybags · 20/06/2025 18:01

I think when people say don't look it's very much in the vein of "Taylor Swift cant sing" "X influencer is a crap dresser", "Keir is doing a shit job". No one has condoned what has happened to you & not looking would be irrelevant since it occurred in real life...

Roobarbtwo · 20/06/2025 18:02

If people want to make excuses for the worst stuff on that site. Crack on. You wait to see someone who has threatened to maim you on twitter defaming you on tattle like they are like miss innocent and see how you go. Lying rancid bitch who caused active harm to my life off tattle and then crossed it over. And no I didn't know them. We weren't friends in real life and other people have had the same treatment.

Stop victim blaming people who have been targeted on that platform. Ends. All I've seen on here for pages is that it doesn't matter. It does!

That's not the case. There was a comment made to me earlier on in this thread that said - why are you looking! I didn't. I looked at one page of the hate and I couldn't face it anymore. Ok!

baggybags · 20/06/2025 18:04

After you had said you were harassed in real life?

baggybags · 20/06/2025 18:04

I mean it's illogical because not looking wouldn't have changed things for you.

I've had some very rude posts to me from a bunch of tattle apologists. Some people were very much asking me what I did to deserve what happened to me

Roobarbtwo · 20/06/2025 18:55

Harassed in real life to the point I almost took my own life and then the worst offender started it up on tattle - but oh wait it's free speech and I should not have looked. And it's ok that one of my biggest harassers posted her version of what happened to me. Get in the bin. She started it. She had to get a dog put to sleep and she was laughing at it. I said that's awful and I got abused threats and arrested because my biggest abuser said I was stalking him when he was stalking me. I was just getting my life back together when I saw that crap on tattle. And it wasn't taken down

Roobarbtwo · 20/06/2025 18:58

I had to put in special circumstances to my uni after her poison and I saw a tenth of it. It's only words on a screen and you don't need to look - fuck off if you think that. This is the same person who helped get me arrested to cover up her gangs harassing of me. My life was almost destroyed by that bitch. And she crossed it over to tattle and they let it stay. Fuck them

Brogues · 20/06/2025 19:17

Roobarb - meant really kindly but I think maybe you should hide this thread. It has obviously stirred up some really tough memories for you. Hope you have someone in real life you can speak about it to.

It sounds awful what happened to you and I certainly hope it came across that I thought it was out of line and not just comments online. Did you ever speak to the police or seek help in taking things further? Sounds like you would have had a case.

Roobarbtwo · 20/06/2025 20:53

I have no interest and mean zero staying on a thread where people are saying it's no big deal what happens on tattle. It's a huge big deal. The person who targeted me on tattle had targeted me enough. She threatened to maim me. She had hate accounts on twitter dedicated to me. She lied about me all over twitter too. But everyone laughed and laughed all over the Sarah Jane Goodwin thread. Because it's gossip yes. You've just not to look no matter what people say about you. Wait till its you on the other end of it
I hope it never is

I'm quite confused by her outing of people. A quick search of one of the names shows her outing her on the thread in 2024. But anyway... I digress... is a legal person going to advise her to out these people? Surely that would ruin any legal battle? Unless she's been told theres no legal battle to be won so she's just choosing to out them anyway?

I also did some Googling of a lot of people who have done interviews etc. And I cannot find the statements that they claim have been made. So that would suggest the posts have been deleted by moderators therefore negating the argument that the site isn't well moderated?

I'll be honest I'm just really confused. I'm aware some people have had terrible experiences with Tattle and I absolutely do not condone any action that people may have taken off of Tattle. But I do think some influencers are using this most recent storm to exaggerate what has been said about them because they do not like the site being there.

Brogues · 21/06/2025 06:44

Yeah I feel the same. Someone didn’t like Ellie’s eyebrows in 2022 so she’s doxxing them? That is her ‘proof’ on stories by the way not me being flippant!

Toastedpickle · 21/06/2025 07:22

Roobarbtwo · 20/06/2025 18:03

You clearly did look a lot though, you have talked extensively about what you saw on there (although it’s a little hard to understand, sounds like it was also in real life, on Insta and on X so not just a tattle problem? Also sounds like the police let you down - assuming you reported it) and you have said there were pages and pages of stuff. So clearly you didn’t just look once.
I’m not sure keep looking and posting on here is doing great stuff for dragging all of this back up for you either?
Your experience sounds horrendous from what you have said and that can not be justified. I haven’t seen anything like that on Tattle personally.

It sounds very horrible and unpleasant.
Were you in the public eye as a celebrity or similar public figure? (You say you weren't an influencer)

I think like you I wouldn't be able to cope with people saying mean things so it's why I would never put myself in the public eye. I guess sometimes it happens inadvertently. I expect the key is to never read things that are said about you? But I can see that it people are telling you about it then it's hard to avoid.

I think tattle is largely grim and inexcusable, despite the good work they have done in outing people who tell lies to persuade people to give them money/to get followers.

Remmy123 · 21/06/2025 09:42

one of them is outing people on their insta and contacting work places - they are making a right mockery of themselves best to go down the proper route and keep your dignity in tact otherwise they are just as bad!!

baggybags · 21/06/2025 09:57

How have they found out who people are? I don't use instagram.

baggybags · 21/06/2025 09:57

How have they found out who people are? I don't use instagram.

I think by going through a person's posts and seeing what they've said about themselves and taking every bit of disclosed information and using it to try to build a picture then looking for people who tick all those boxes.

Hugely problematic. First of all the person may well have lied about things. Secondly, the chances of misidentifying someone are high. Even if all the things they said about themselves over the years was true, the chances they are unique is low.

You cant just say oh, X poster said they live in London, work in finance and have blonde hair and look at this fb profile. This woman lives in London, works in finance and has blonde hair therefore this is her haha gotcha you thought you were anonymous...

And the person doing this 'unmasking' is themselves anonymous so how can they be held accountable for misidentfying someone and for the consequences of that?

baggybags · 21/06/2025 10:37

Ok, that does seem ripe for errors.

Roobarbtwo · 21/06/2025 10:54

No one actually told me about it. I was looking at a thread one night and then discovered I was being discussed. I didn't keep looking at the posts. They were far too poisonous. But there were a core of people on the thread lapping up every bit of gossip. The person making the posts just conveniently forgot to tell tattle that I had to go to police over a tweet she sent me threatening to maim me. She made tweets threatening to come to my home town and smash my windows. She had a hate account on twitter completely dedicated to me. She was part of a gang of ten people who harassed me for over a year on twitter and then they took it offline. I had to see police several times that year. She has some very unhinged online friends - they've done it to others. I didn't need all of that just when I was trying to put my life back together. And unfortunately the night I saw the first set of horrible posts - I had a uni essay due the next day. She was posting it all years after all of that stuff happened. There was no need for it.

I didn't know her. I had crossed paths with her on twitter but someone handed my full name over to them and then they set about trying to find as much information about me as they could. Maybe when people on tattle are clapping along at a nice piece of juicy gossip they might appreciate that they aren't being told the full truth. This woman sat for 15 months tweeting abuse and lies about me from behind a twitter block. She doxxed my brother - they had someone following me on a fake profile on Facebook That was to terrify me. We know this about you - how do we know it. She referred to this as a "row" on her posts on tattle.

That discussion was zero to do with the thread in question. It's not just the lies - it had nothing to do with the thread. It completely derailed it and went on for pages - and moderators should have removed the posts.

No I wasn't in the public eye. Sarah Jane Goodwin had made some offensive tweets to me and someone spotted them - and the person took it upon themselves to start slating me on her thread on tattle. And the folk on there were clapping along and leaving laughing and shocked face emoticons.

The girl also helpfully told people that I have ptsd. Which she helped cause. According to this person I don't take responsibility for my actions - absolute projection. She tweeted lies about me for 15 months. Lies which were put in a dossier to give to police. She also reported me to the dwp for benefit fraud (that I wasn't committing). So when someone is happily dishing the dirt on you all over the Internet - maybe they could at least be honest about their part in a targeted campaign to try and destroy your life (that would at least provide some balance to her nonsense). The information they found on me was posted up on a doxxing site. One hosted in China because the content was so vile the man behind it would have been arrested if he had hosted it in the Uk (has form for threatening people with bombs).

Sarah Jane Goodwin

Who is this? An influencer? Was it fans of her going after you?

Sarah Jane Goodwin

No. She has a thread on the blogger part of tattle. She's done some questionable go fund mes. No the people on tattle didn't harass me apart from one woman who I assume joined the thread on to give everyone the gossip. I was mentioned simply because Sarah made some tweets calling me a child abuser, saying that my kids had been taken off me - egged on by one of the people who harassed me on twitter back in the day (I don't have children)..

I asked Sarah to remove her tweets and it crossed over to tattle. I had made a comment about Sarah's grift - and some of the people who harassed me back in the day tweeted her and contacted her to get her to tweet lies about me. I have zero connection to Sarah. I'm not famous. Not in the public eye. My only point is that these posts on tattle about me were personal and according to someone who read all of them - extremely vicious. They had nothing to do with the thread. And I don't think it would have been unreasonable for the mods to remove them.
