Do you ever come home from a meal out

And want to eat again?????

I’ve had a good intake today, porridge & fruit at breakfast
salmon & stir fry veg at lunch
just been out with a friend and had scampi & chips (literally 7 pieces of scampi)

come home and I’m trying to justify making myself an egg sandwich

I’m ravenous

Make your egg sandwich and be happy.

Enko · 16/05/2025 19:58

Yes I do.

Have your egg sandwich..

MrsSunshine2b · 16/05/2025 20:05

I'm always stuffed after scampi and chips.

Do you do a lot of exercise?

Yes. Have your sandwich.

I always eat after a restaurant meal out! I basically end up treating food in restaurants and cafes as an additional snack on top of the day's eating.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 16/05/2025 20:12

No, I can't understand that at all. You can't possibly be ravenous. Did you not have a dessert? Was it only a small portion of chips? Any veg?

No chance you're pregnant?

😆🙈 really?! Fucking hell, she’s hungry, leave her alone. She only wants a blumming egg sandwich for gods sake.

PoodlesRUs · 16/05/2025 20:15

Get off MN and make the sandwich. 7 pieces of scampi is bugger all.

princesspadam · 16/05/2025 20:15

Haha deffo not pregnant
no dessert and there was nothing just scampi & chips

I don't understand ordering scampi of you have "an appetite". Scampi is for those people who love to tell you they couldn't possibly eat a whole meal IMO 😜

Leave her alone? She asking if anyone ever comes home hungry for a meal out? So clearly can't understand how that could be the case herself, or she wouldn't be asking.

Of course she can have an egg sandwich if she wants. That makes no difference to my opinion that I don't think it's the norm to want to eat a sandwich the minute you get home from a meal out. That would suggest that the portion of food in the restaurant was inadequate.

princesspadam · 16/05/2025 20:20

I think it was inadequate!

The hunger will be due to the lack of fibre and protein in that meal. All that meal will do is raise your blood sugar which will then drop 90 min later making you hungry again.

Ok. You jumped to questioning if she was pregnant because she was still hungry after a shitty meal.
That’s bloody weird imo.

OP, eat your egg sandwich!

Ah yes, an egg sandwich today maybe, but a cheese omelette next time and then she’ll be onto a full English. It’s a slippery slope… 😫

BigFatLiar · 16/05/2025 20:26

I remember we went to a posh Michelin starred restaurant as a treat, expensive. We stopped at the takeaway on the way back to the hotel. The food was beautiful and tasty but portions were small and it wasn't a taster menu. We left the place still hungry.

WavyRavey · 16/05/2025 20:26

When we get in from a meal out my husband tends to make dirty fries

Happyeachday · 16/05/2025 20:27

I`ve been like this today just so hungry but i think its because im due on soon.
I will spend the next few days eating enough for a small army.
I started with a banana toast then pringles porkpie then another porkpie pasty more pringles.
Went out for dinner to day came home still hungry ordered food had that still peckish.
Now having pringles.

SpicyMcSpice · 16/05/2025 20:28

On a side note, what even is scampi? I’ve never eaten it because I don’t know what it is? 😆

princesspadam · 16/05/2025 20:29

#teameggsandwich... only 7 pieces of scampi? Unless each was a full langoustine that's a child's portion!!

So maybe it was inadequate?
