Is anyone else boycotting Eurovision?

Usually love watching Eurovision but will not watch it this year due to Israel being allowed to compete. I don’t understand how Israel are allowed to compete but not Russia (not that I’d agree with them competing either) so sadly, we won’t be watching it. Is anyone else boycotting it?

It’s also worth mentioning that most of them died of diseases they had no immunity to, introduced by settlers.

Israel funds the majority of Eurovision which is why it will never be dropped from the contest
Also most Israelis hail from Europe which is why they enter, they feel an affinity with the region in their hearts rather than the Middle East

Most Israelis were born in Israel, which last time I checked was in the middle east.

Most Cypriots were born in Cyprus, yet Cyprus is in Asia. Nobody questions their entry.

This makes 0 sense. Israelis are… Israelis? They aren’t European immigrants.

Also there’s probably a few good reasons some Israelis might not feel an affinity to the other Middle Eastern countries!

Nope, just less than half of Israeli Jews are descended from Ashkenazi Jews from Europe. Most Israeli Jews are
descended from Mizrahi/Sephardi Jews of the Middle East (most coming after their expulsion and ethnic cleansing from almost every Arab and ME country after the establishment of Israel), with around 200,000 descended from Indian and Ethiopian Jews. Nowadays most Jewish Israeli children are a mix of origins.
