Watching it now. I'm not religious - but it is a fascinating watch and a beautiful setting.

IME, apropos Trump, Catholic funerals aren’t always so dress-codey, the emphasis can be on showing up. But that’s very cultural dependant of course and in the US surely black is de rigeur.

A lot of royalty have a very conservative dress code when visiting the Vatican, she could be following that dress code.

It is good to see so many countries and religions coming together.

Can you imagine the security nightmare today must be. I’m off to look at flight radar and military Freedar to see what’s on sky wards.

I live a good Mass, and I’m not rating your man singing the responsorial now. We have a better cantor in my church.

I like the very simple wooden coffin. It made me feel a bit teary when i saw it. I am not at all religious, never mind catholic but i feel he was was a very humble man.

This man has a lovely singing voice with a beautiful tone. I sing in a choir and couldn't imagine how nerve wracking doing this would be.

Love all the chanting (apologies, I don’t know the real term) and all the Latin. Didn’t realise how much I’d retained from school.

I also don’t like the organ tagging along in the responsorial. Only voices is nicer.

Navy blue is acceptable at funerals… not defending Trump cos I think he’s an arsehole, but William is also not in black.

The organ is probably something to do with sound outdoors. St Peter's Square is like a stadium and sound can bounce around in unexpected ways. That reading was in Spanish.

I think he’s a bit hard to ”follow”, a bit too low-pitched? For us who are a bit more musically challenged we need a lot of help to find the right note when we sing our bit.

The choir is not as good as the Westminster Abbey choir. But I guess that singing outside with amplification doesn't help.
