Unbelievable.

A suspended four-year prison sentence too.

Rightly so.

I bet Macron’s not unhappy.

MissMarplesNiece · 31/03/2025 12:21

Is Putin unhappy about LePen or Trump (who's very angry with him, apparently) or both?

DuncinToffee · 31/03/2025 12:23

MyNameIsX · 31/03/2025 12:17

Unbelievable.

A suspended four-year prison sentence too.

Rightly so.

Of the four years imprisonment, two are suspended. It's not clear if she’ll have to go to jail or just wear an ankle bracelet.

But the execution of the prison sentence is suspended until the outcome of the appeal.

Only two years of that jail sentence suspended though - the other two not confirmed yet, although suggestion it could be house arrest/with a tag

BIWI · 31/03/2025 12:24

X-post @DuncinToffee!

This is on the Le Pen ruling

I don't think he cares too much about what Trump says

Tax from me.
Sometimes these threads feel as if there are attempts by disrupters trying to get the threads taken down.
I feel about these threads like I do about the Eurovision Song Contest when people moan about it and say why do we bother - I say never quit , look what Sam Ryder achieved!
My man .

Perdy is also a judgey cat. She’s professionally offended by everything I do. Move when she’s on my knee? Offended. Dint feed her when she first suggests it (about 4 hours early)? Offended. Open the door? Offended. Close the door? Offended. Brush her? Offended. And so on ad nauseam

I attempted to photograph our resident workplace muntjac last Thursday for some tax but he scarpered. He knows days of the week as he always appears on Thursdays so I will update asap!

Little Tennyson is very judgemental when the mood takes him. He thanks you for the good wishes for his birthday yesterday.

Ok, I may lurk and see how I feel. Paying lurker tax with my Mother’s Day mug from DD which pretty much sums up how I feel about most things.

Funny, when humans needed electricity it was better to freeze than have nuclear power.

For myself we should have been 100% nuclear powered for decades. Completely insulated from whatever else is happening in the world.

However now the precious "AI" needs power, it's nukes before November.

Just in case anyone had any weird idea that things were going to look up for mankind.

https://www.theregister.com/2025/03/31/nuclear_no_panacea_ai/

Atomic energy is becoming the preferred solution to address the projected bump in megawatts needed to charge AI in the future, but it simply won't come soon enough in many cases.

Nuclear power no panacea for AI's growing thirst for energy

Analysis: Silicon Valley's latest energy fixation won't stop the coming power panic

Is that a Keith Brymer Jones mug? I saw them in a Beaumaris shop last Easter but I have a chronic mug habit already and couldn’t justify another one.

I fear Trump will go on as long as he is alive Sad

BestIsWest · 31/03/2025 17:02

It is indeed a KBJ mug @Saucery. I have a —small— collection
