Is there any celeb you feel sorry for?

Watching one of mg favourite films again, (Easy A) and it’s got Amanda Bynes in it.

I still feel so sorry for her. She was so talented and I loved her movies and it’s sad to see how she is now. I genuinely hope she gets all the help she needs

Duffy, the ordeal she went through sounds absolutely horrendous, poor woman.

This is gonna sound daft but I genuinely feel sorry for Melania Trump.
I can't imagine she ever wanted to be the First Lady.

I can't think of any at the moment but in general any woman in the public eye. They're ripped apart and social media makes it 1000 times worse.

What I find particularly annoying is the way women are criticised for showing signs of age, then criticised for surgery. And God forbid if you're not stick thin.

Lots, I have a relative who is a ‘celeb’ and who’s fame started as a teen.
They are incredibly unhappy and damaged from it and have completely been taken advantage off and abused.
so I am able to feel sympathy for even the most unpopular celebs who have made many mistakes, it’s not a position I would want to be in.

Katie Price. That woman had a lot of childhood abuse and was not given help until far far too late and far too many men had taken advantage. Addiction and MH problems galore. I don't think the things she does are right but she is definitely a celeb I feel very sorry for.

Kamala Harris - I do wonder if she would have had more of a chance if Biden had stepped aside sooner or any of the party around them had admitted he was too old to run again. I hope she gets another shot.

They are free to leave their celebrity behind anytime. So no I don't. Those who step outside or just try to be normal I admire eg Kate Bush. But it's a hard thing to leave I would imagine. Watched that Boyband series and could see the toll it took.

This doesn't make sense. These people are doing their jobs: actors, models, singers etc, and in some cases, that brings fame. They don't deserve to be mercilessly criticised because they're in the public eye.

That’s not true, it can be a lot more complex than that. Its how they earn money, if they’ve been in that career since they were young it’s the only way they know. That’s not taking into account how psychologically damaging it can be.
Also the British public and press are relentless, once you’ve reached a certain level of fame you wouldn’t be allowed to just leave and live a normal quiet life whenever you wanted.

Caroline Flack. I know what she did to her BF was wrong but I feel so so sad that she felt her only way out was suicide.

Also Jade Goodie. She died on Mother’s Day, son tomorrow is her anniversary.

I now feel immediately sorry for Amanda Holden. That’s a lot of assumptions and insults on someone you’ve probably never met and know nothing about. You also know nothing about les Dennis and how nice he is from seeing him on a tv game show.

Britney, I don’t know WTF is going on with her but it doesn’t look great.

Loana, the winner of the first season of the French Big Brother back in about 2001. She is on social media a lot and the comments she gets are horrendous but she carries on. Obviously she won’t be famous in the UK but she’s the first person who came to mind when I saw the title of the thread.
