Watching one of mg favourite films again, (Easy A) and it’s got Amanda Bynes in it.

I still feel so sorry for her. She was so talented and I loved her movies and it’s sad to see how she is now. I genuinely hope she gets all the help she needs

An immense talent, died of AIDS far too young. Just a few years later the treatments had massively improved and people can now live relatively normal lives with HIV.

Even though he's no longer with us I still feel so sorry for Matthew Perry. So much talent but so troubled and he put so much pressure on himself too. His book was a honest but difficult read at times. I hope he's at peace now.

Billie Piper - imagine having to co-parent with Laurence Fox 🙄

Katie Price. I feel desperately sad for her.

Judy Garland. Immensely talented, but the way she was treated by the studio as a child, starved and drugged etc., messed her up for life.

Mikey from Boyzone. If you’ve not seen the 3 part series on Sky about then, go watch it. A must see and he really is a nice guy who has struggled.

George Michael. The man had absolutely everything. Extraordinary talent, massive success, wealth, the respect of his peers, good looks, friends who cared about him. But none of it made him happy and he died tragically young following many years of mental health problems & addictions.

Even though she gets a lot of flack I actually feel very sorry for Daniella Westbrook. I didn't appreciate how young she was when she started on EastEnders in the 90s. She mentioned on the boybands documentary the impact of her break up with Brian Harvey (instigated by East 17's manager) and the intense press attention back then caused her descent into drugs.

She"s got herself clean and healthy a couple of times but seems unable to stay there.

Agree with @MotherWol, I feel sorry for poor Billie Piper. Whenever Lawrence Fox makes some vile comment, I imagine her reading it in the newspaper and cringing that she was married to him. Also must be hell for his kids at school.

I remember reading this as its rare for her to comment about him. I don't blame her for not wanting to read or be told about him but she sounds like a great mum.

also currently Kate Cassidy of whom I knew precisely nothing until TikTok started showing me her and Liam Payne, people laughing at Liam Payne for attention grabbing at a concert (another boy band person?) and then he died and my goodness how vile social media can be. Loads of nasty women slating her. I can only assume weird jealousy.

Arron Carter, currently watching the documentary about him and is awful rapist brother. His mother effectively pimped him to a music exec aged 10 because Nick had cut the parents out of his Backstreet Boys money.
He eventually spoke up against Nick and was harassed for years by fans. He never stood a chance against his addictions.

Bianca Censori. How will she look back in the future on how she is paraded around. I'm not sure how much agency she has, or, being so young, how much she can reflect on what her future will be like. What will her potential kids think?

They were chuckling on last nights episode.
They have a long lasting loving marriage by the looks of it, they always reminisce together.

I may have got over invested.

I feel sorry for Giles. Mary seems insufferably prim and affected.

Mainly those struggling or who struggled with mental health issues so publicly.

I feel sorry for Nicole Kidman because it must be impossible for the people around her to tell if she's happy or sad, unless she tells them. Also having to wear all those wigs all the time...

Interesting and compassionate thread. Britney came to mind for me too. All that star quality and charisma, but sadly appears very unwell at the moment.

Just thinking in general, for people who were in the industry very young, they must have got used to people pleasing to get jobs. Easy for their self worth to be link in with that so makes sense that it would be hard to walk away from it.
