I’m happy on the group forum, thanks! I also understand the concept of open public discussion and don’t feel entitled to an echo chamber of likeminded opinions

Who exactly am I hounding out? I object to being told ‘you don’t belong here’ on a public forum. If this group has evolved to a members only discussion, then feel free to take it somewhere private.

Oh dear, but you're not happy really, are you? Nobody genuinely happy feels the need to try and take over a chat thread. Unless of course they have some kind of social communication failure.

Haven’t been this happy in a while - I do love a lively debate. What would make me happier is if the debate was something substantive rather than whether I was allowed to post on a public forum.

It’s really not ridiculous.

‘Not being in AIBU’ is not a thread status or a way of gatekeeping. If people start threads in chat or politics or news, etc, about political subjects that any of the regulars here feel strongly enough to post about, they will, and do.

Similarly these threads aren’t exclusive.

Of course the first thing I did was try to zoom in on the seam lines.
