Help me create a truly unhinged M&S Ocado shop

DH abroad for a week so alone with DC. Ocado slot booked. Will be on my period and they've been monstrous lately. M&S/Ocado treats are required - what are your best suggestions? I WFH so need lunches as well as snacks and evening meals. What are you throwing in the trolley? Online shopping is an art and I want to make this one a genius one!

M&S Nutty Clouds.

LuckySantangelo35 · 11/03/2025 23:18

are these chocolate covered custard creams that good??

aftereightish · 11/03/2025 23:30

Torres crisps seconded.

I like the bagged and washed Cavolo Nero.

A sourdough loaf.

The chocolate cornflake clusters are good.

There's a fairly pricey bottle of English burgundy (Balfour) that might change your mind on English reds.

Pomegranate seeds ready-shelled in a massive container.

Vanilla/flavoured Greek yoghurt.

They are amaaaaaaazing. Thankfully there's only 8 in a pack because I can't stop myself from eating them.

They have so much chocolate coating but somehow manage to not be too sickly.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 13/03/2025 11:11

M&S Cornish Cruncher cheese biscuits! Never enough in a pack though.

neverhappenedtopablopicasso · 13/03/2025 13:03

Cornish Cruncher biscuits in the bag, along with assorted other things inspired by the thread - thanks all! Excited about Picard frozen croissants and apple pastries, San Pellegrino bitters aperitifs, chocolate custard creams, fizzy Percy Pig tails (!), chocolate covered cherries and pistachios, a steak, the miniature Burrata, truffle crisps, new olives, and plenty more besides.

There is also a Chocolate Covered Custard Cream Easter Egg

I think so too. The chocolate is lovely and thick. The bourbons are good too.

KnickerFolder · 13/03/2025 13:47

I would recommend the Picard mini croissants over the large ones. They always cook perfectly but the large ones can sometimes be a little stodgy inside still when the outside is cooked. Actually, I find that for any brand of frozen croissant. The M&S frozen mini pastries are also good.

dancingwhilstfacingthemusic · 13/03/2025 16:33

I’m glad you’ve put the miniature burrata in because I owe it an apology for being stroppy about its size. It is bloody gorgeous.

The M&S chocolate hazelnut spread is lovely! Either the 2.50 one or the fancy 4.25 one.

timyam · 13/03/2025 20:49

@neverhappenedtopablopicasso please post a photo of the goods when you've received them haha! This thread is the best thing I've ever read!

dancingwhilstfacingthemusic · 14/03/2025 18:11

Popping back to thank whoever suggested the Mexican layered dip. Wowsers.

NotDarkGothicMama · 14/03/2025 19:09

Froot pops - raspberry with white a milk chocolate. My goodness, such deliciousness. They count as one of your 5-a-day too.

I chickened out of on this in fear it'd be a swirly grey mess by halfway through. Plus I really like making guac...

Missed this thread first time around but most of my favourites were mentioned anyway.

I’ll add pardon peppers, bhaji battered fries, Double Dutch Pomegranate and Basil mixer.

Butterpaneer · 16/03/2025 12:52

Palmiers (the bakery ones not the little packet ones) - my absolute kryptonite currently
Almond biscuits
Percy pigs (hot tip, freeze them, the texture is amazing)
Nice steak and their beef dripping chips
Peanut puff crisps

MulberryPeony · 16/03/2025 14:25

Oh and one I just got yesterday - M&S shortbread tea ♥️

GreenPinkYellowOrange · 11/03/2025 18:12

Salmon and cream cheese sandwich filler spread.. so tasty on a toasted bagel!

Dirty fries (one of the sides options in the pizza deal)

The microwave curries are better than takeaway!

Chocolate covered custard creams. All there is to say about them is Oh. My. God.

I second the chocolate custard creams. I only discovered them last week. They are wonderful. Lovely thick chocolate. 😃

ginandoreos · 16/03/2025 18:46

M&S Swiss Mountain Bar - delicious!

Butteredtoast55 · 16/03/2025 19:01

My guilty pleasure is their vegetable tikka masala ready meal for one. I have even gone for the 'serves two' version for full disclosure!
I'd also get lots of fresh fruit and
Cranberry and pecan bread and cheeses
Smashed potatoes with pesto drizzle
Loads of ready made salads like the couscous and orzo salad
Their New York deli-style salad which has pickled cabbage
Chocolate profiterole pot
sesame seed pretzels
A bakery cinnamon bun....
I could go on but I'll stop there!

MadamePeriwinkle · 16/03/2025 19:45

Right...I've made a (long) shortlist and I'm going in!

dancingwhilstfacingthemusic · 16/03/2025 22:23

@MadamePeriwinkle i dare you to leave that list in a trolley in M & S (or indeed, Sainos). Some great things there.

neverhappenedtopablopicasso · 16/03/2025 22:28

Since my last update I’ve added marinated prawns, fresh cherries, Patchwork pate, 2 x 3 for £8 deli bits inc a few types of charcuterie, Tim Tams, frozen gyoza, Bombay mix, actually quite a bit of salad, but even more crisps, sour cream dip, pickled jalapenos, sable grapes, potato rosti, slightly upmarket mini chicken kievs (lol), still lemonade. Then got some really good flash sales like Daylesford chicken. Freezer space at a premium so will have to do a round 2 another time.
