Help me create a truly unhinged M&S Ocado shop

DH abroad for a week so alone with DC. Ocado slot booked. Will be on my period and they've been monstrous lately. M&S/Ocado treats are required - what are your best suggestions? I WFH so need lunches as well as snacks and evening meals. What are you throwing in the trolley? Online shopping is an art and I want to make this one a genius one!

It is so brilliant how everyone has their own best picks. Thanks! Almost every item on this list is a new one on me and I thought I knew the ropes.

Absolutely, but you know this means you have to share your top pics or the list of what you actually order.

As my DH is a Mark, BIL calls us Marks & Spender because I'm always ordering in M&S. Can't help it, love a new find and truly enjoy their food over other places.

The M&S king prawn bhuna is banging. Wang a folded flatbread in the toaster while it microwaves and you have a perfect bhuna scooper accompaniment. Treat-wise the apple hot cross buns are lovely, as are the caramelised blonde pecans. And you can't go wrong with a twofer on the cake tubs either. Oh, the lemon and lime jaffa cakes! The new 'healthier' brain balls are pretty good too.

Sweet: M&S fully loaded millionaires brownie mini bites

Savoury: Blacksticks blue cheese

Healthy: Natoora berries - blueberries and raspberries are amazing.

Burrata size warning. I’ve not tried it yet because at that price I want to enjoy it (& am recovering well!). I’ve never had a moist cheesy comestible that is so small. All the ones I’ve eaten in restaurants have been the size of the oranges that get squeezed for breakfast juice.

I also bought lots of nice Italian biscuits to go with coffee - cantucci and amaretti.

I'm off dairy due to baby's CMPA, but fantasising about this stuff. It's delicious!

Isn’t unhinged more like a bizarre mix of unrelated things, such as

toilet wipes
dumpling mix
dried shiitake mushrooms

Yes, but that is exactly the vibe I'm hoping for

Don't forget to have a nice long bath:
Cowshed bath salts + lotions
Cocktails (to sip in the bath) - Moth are pretty good. (or go crazy and buy a cocktail shaker and make your own)

The Picard mini-croissants are v good too.
And Crosta Mollica pizzas.

EdgarAllanPoesMirror · 11/03/2025 19:44

Fazer Marianne Chocolate Filled Mint Candies;
Felix Wild Lingonberry Jam (fab with any cheese sandwich, or meatballs; they also used to have the best bilberry jam, but I cannot find it any longer);
MOI Apple filled Mini Beignets (or Speculoos beignets);
Picard Pasteis De Nata (and generally Picard frozen pastries are very good);
Picard Apple Tart A La Normande;
San Pellegrino San Bitter Aperitif Glass;
Rodda's Cornish Salted Butter (the best);

Goatblu · 11/03/2025 19:44

Fizzy Percy Pig tails

ShriekingTrespasser · 11/03/2025 19:46

Forget chocolate. Get all the crisps they have.

Ginisatonic · 11/03/2025 19:48

Pretzel fudge mini bites!
Agree with the Picard recommendations. They do a goats cheese and spinach pastry thing which is lovely.

BobbyBiscuits · 11/03/2025 19:49

Pistachio and almond cookies
Almond biscuits
Sultana butter biscuits
Percy pigs
Cornichons
Smoked cheddar
Serrano ham

The apple slices with peanut butter dip that are ridiculously expensive but not replicatable! And bags of chocolate peanut butter crunchiest!

Sorry to hijack the thread but just to mention - the whole earth drizzle-able style peanut butter made this possible for us at home and DS apparently doesn't know the difference (and he's pretty picky)

neverhappenedtopablopicasso · 11/03/2025 20:00

My previous plans for lots of 3 for £8 deli seem so basic now.

The Crunchy Golden Blond Chocolate Spread is like whizzed up Kinder Buenos but we have it as a school holidays only rule otherwise no proper breakfasts would get eaten.

I've added loads of recommendations already, plus Bombay Mix and chocolate pistachios.

I've always wanted to get the Tsar smoked salmon fillet. Looks delicious

timyam · 11/03/2025 20:25

Jeez I've just read everyone's suggestions. They all sound divine. And after stocking up my biscuit cupboard today will need to go back out and try these chocolate covered custard creams.

Also, as you're a savoury person the extremely cheesy hot cross buns are a must! Get two packs... trust me

MerryTealHedgehog · 11/03/2025 20:28

Anything dark chocolate anyone can suggest, the chocolate covered custard creams sound good but milk chocolate mehhh.
