I don’t think it’s as easy as a flat no. Putin’s conditions are vague enough that it leaves wiggle room depending on how hard Trump is willing to press (which I suspect isn’t very hard). At the end of the day Russia wants this ceasefire, even if only to rest their troops and rearm. I think they’re playing for time until their counter offensive in Kursk either pushes Ukraine out or culminates.

Drumpf repeatedly talks about someone in ye olde days drawing an artificial line across N America... does he not consider the reverse is also true. Why can't Canada claim the 49 US states sitting below or to the side of them? Or at the very least take the 13 states that sit on that border. New beautiful, bigly provinces!

Off topic, I've listened to some romance scammer/MLM podcasts and there are parallels with MAGA. It's like a ponzi scheme or MLM, and I'd say MAHA (Make America Healthy Again - the anti-vax version) also shows this. They get sucked in and won't believe anything bad about it. Romance scams are similar, you wouldn't believe half the things people fall for. One woman believed scammer was an architect who'd gone out to Turkey to lay pipes and had been captured by the Turkish Taliban...
