Just one a football one.

OP posts:
ReignOfError · 01/03/2025 20:05

I have approximately 50 tiny Stars and Stripes. I get them out to embarrass/amuse my totally unpatriotic American husband at Thanksgiving and 4th July.

PurpleChrayn · 01/03/2025 20:05

We have a couple of Israeli flags as my DH is Israeli.

I'm sure this is highly offensive to some, but I don't care!

SusanSHelit · 01/03/2025 20:05

I've got an Irish flag floating around somewhere I think and ds has a football flag. I haven't seen either for a couple of years mind so they have disappeared

EdithStourton · 01/03/2025 20:06

1, from an obscure region where my father worked 60 years ago. In a box somewhere.
I have no idea how he got it or why he kept it, and I can't remember how I acquired it.

ThreeMagicNumber · 01/03/2025 20:06

None

thatmistylight · 01/03/2025 20:06

None!

RaininSummer · 01/03/2025 20:07

None. Never had a flag.

KingOfPoundbury · 01/03/2025 20:07

One thinks we have any number of them. Someone hoists the correct standard whenever one has some foreign dignity to visit.
They are jolly nice. The flag thingies of course, very colourful. Not the dignities! They can be frightfully UN-dignified. Gawfaw, gaffaw.

bellocchild · 01/03/2025 20:07

An EU flag, but it's in the loft somewhere...

Doggymummar · 01/03/2025 20:07

Why would I have a flag? Zero

MrsJHernandez · 01/03/2025 20:07

AyeBeeSea · 01/03/2025 20:02

I was just saying that to the Queen the other day.

Do you speak to spirits?!

AuntieMarys · 01/03/2025 20:08

None. I have a Not my King tea towel though

chunkymarmalade · 01/03/2025 20:08

None.

MrsJHernandez · 01/03/2025 20:07

Do you speak to spirits?!

There is a live queen too, Camilla is now The Queen.

HoppityBun · 01/03/2025 20:09

None. I’m British and not a politician in a failing party.

braaaiiins · 01/03/2025 20:11

Some handmade bunting, a Basque one, a Bretagne one and a Flemish one.

RunSlowTalkFast · 01/03/2025 20:12

None on display but one somewhere from the European country my mum is from and one from a South American country we once visited.

Commonsenseisnotsocommon · 01/03/2025 20:12

Emily, is that you?😂

OggyBunsen · 01/03/2025 20:13

I've got a big Australia flag and lots of little laminated ones from when our topic was Australia.
I've got a big India flag and lots of little laminated ones from when our topic was India.
I've got a load of world flags on cocktail sticks for when our topic was Around the World in 80 Days.
I've got a bunch of British Values related ones somewhere as well, I think.
Guess what my job is?! 😄

pictoosh · 01/03/2025 20:13

One canvas Scotland saltire cross flag...it's really old and came from my dad, whose father had it and his father before then. I believe it originally came from a ship.
It hangs in ds1's bedroom currently but has been on a few travels in its time.

YourWinter · 01/03/2025 20:13

Probably got my son’s England flag from Euro ‘96 in a cupboard somewhere.

KnickerlessParsons · 01/03/2025 20:13

A Welsh flag and an English flag.

thecatdidit · 01/03/2025 20:14

Two union jacks, one George cross, one Romanian flag (small) . The pets have St Andrew's saltire and the Welsh dragon flag on their collars.

ThreeMagicNumber · 01/03/2025 20:14

I actually said none, I have just remembered we actually have a Scotland flag in a cupboard from the Euros that Ds bought.

I'm not sure you could describe the little paper flags my grandmother displays during royal weddings, jubilees etc as chavy

I was mainly talking about the football type ones, as the OP referenced.

I would never display flags or bunting of any kind for various reasons. But each to their own.
