I have a big pirate flag that I use when I teach Treasure Island.

Ineedcoffee2021 · 02/03/2025 12:28

A couple - All for footy or WWE
No country or political

Gettingbysomehow · 02/03/2025 13:19

None but next door has about 100 all over the house they flap all night like a bastard keeping me awake for hours.

Loubylie · 02/03/2025 13:23

What are their 100 flags?

The patriotic version of wind chimes.

Natsku · 02/03/2025 13:34

I have two small Finnish flags (on Independence Day my DS insists on carrying one around with him everywhere) and an even smaller Scottish saltire flag.

changedusernameforthis1 · 02/03/2025 13:53

We have a rainbow one we bought from pride about 6 years ago, but I've no idea where it is.

Also have a Chinese dragon one made out of paper that DD made at school for Chinese new year.

BitOutOfPractice · 02/03/2025 13:55

An England one, a Wales one, a Netherlands one and one from my beloved football team.

Edited to say, and a Black Country one.

Martymcfly24 · 02/03/2025 13:57

There's loads around the house.
Country flags for Patricks Day Parade.
County flags: small for matches and a big one for hanging out the window in case of a final!
Club flags (same as above!)

yodaforpresident · 02/03/2025 14:02

We have (although not on display), a Stars and Stripes, an Armagh flag, and a USSR flag bought on a school trip there about 36 years ago.

DPotter · 02/03/2025 14:13

No flags but got loads of bunting -
red, white & blue,
yellow and blue (doubles as Support for Ukraine and our local arts trail)
bright pink (- another arts trail)
floral blues for decorating my craft stall

I have a very small (2x1 inch) welsh flag in my hallway. I also have a teddy bear on my bed, that's wearing a jumper with the welsh flag on it. My Dad was welsh. The mini flag belonged to him, and the teddy was a gift from him.

SerendipityJane · 02/03/2025 14:23

Ah ! The chains 😀

Sprogonthetyne · 02/03/2025 14:25

My DC were given some in macdonalds the other day, so currently two small paper 'you choose book' themed flags. Generally none.

Ilovelurchers · 02/03/2025 14:26

MrsJHernandez · 01/03/2025 19:58

Umm. None. Personally I find them a bit "chavvy". Sorry!

This is a really offensive term. Class prejudice. I am going to report it - I always do when I see it on here - and I wanted to explain why.

BumpandBounce · 02/03/2025 14:28

A load of Union flags in the loft for street parties during jubilees and royal weddings.

My neighbour has a flagpole in the front garden with a St George’s cross. He’s a hideous racist and BNP member.

obsessedwithfreshbread · 02/03/2025 14:31

White ensign and a navy remembrance one that goes up when we're camping
Couple of Union flags (DH insists it's only Union Jack when flown from a ship 🙄) I got for our Lockdown VE Day garden party, we went all out for that and even had the RBL standard and the last post in the street.. they'll probably come out again this year on VE Day

CarolinaInTheMorning · 02/03/2025 14:40

Interesting thread.

We have two: an American flag that we fly on US holidays (I'm American and in the US) and a University of Georgia football (American football, of course) flag that we fly on game days.

CowboyJoanna · 02/03/2025 14:49

Two are always out flying - a Union Jack flag and the Australian flag
DS and youngest DD both have england flags
We have england flags in storage that we plaster on the cars during football season

blackheartsgirl · 02/03/2025 14:55

1 a local football team flag that went on the back parcel shelf at away matches and then draped across dhs coffin at his funeral.

1 is a Welsh one

3 another small Welsh one that sits with dhs ashes looking out on the stadium which I can see from my house.

I've been on MN for nearly 14 years because I like the conversations. There are quite a few Americans on MN and posters from other countries outside the UK as well.
