I take a blanket to the cinema 🤷‍♀️😂

I do have a TV, but absolutely refuse to ever have a TV in my living room.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 25/02/2025 13:39

I also take a blanket to the cinema. A big fluffy one.

I 'trace' things all day long when I'm watching TV for example. I'll trace a person's eyes, nose, mouth. Sort of as if I'm imagining drawing them. It's not just people though it's furniture, the curtain rail and rings etc.

Autistic with OCD tendencies so I appreciate that that's a bit of a weird one.

LindorDoubleChoc · 25/02/2025 13:41

Can't touch a washing up sponge or kitchen cloth (or bathroom cloth for that matter) without rubber gloves on.

Pascha · 25/02/2025 13:43

My chocolate digestives live in the freezer because I like the snappy chocolate texture.

loropianalover · 25/02/2025 13:44

I put my crisps in the freezer for a while before eating them.

FanofLeaves · 25/02/2025 13:44

Run up the stairs on all fours like a dog when I go to my parent’s house 🤣

count out words to sentences or things people say by wiggling my big toes. I prefer it ifs an even number 😳 if it’s not I silently add an extra word in 😳

After freezing to death last Friday and watching a film with my gloves on and coat zipped all the way up, I’ll be joining you in future.

GrandHighPoohbah · 25/02/2025 13:46

I thank the dishwasher for doing the washing up.

MaltipooMama · 25/02/2025 13:49

Haha I posted on another thread the other day saying that I take a blanket to the cinema! It's because I'm inevitably going to fall asleep so I want to be warm and cozy whilst I have my nap 😅

PhilosophicalCheeseSandwich · 25/02/2025 13:52

I have to wear earplugs because of my husband's snoring. I don't put them in before I go to sleep, I wait until his snoring's woken me up and then put them in. I think I'm just hopeful that one day he won't snore any more, and I'll never know if I don't check every night.

Same. The massive cabinet that looks like it houses a TV in our living room houses all the shit we can't find room for anywhere else.

Conniebygaslight · 25/02/2025 13:59

Put fresh strawberries on top of a homemade curry, we all do this in our family and have had some very weird looks over the years.

StarDolphins · 25/02/2025 14:05

I say please & thank you all the time, that’s pretty weird & out there these days isn’t it🤣

My other weirdness..
I only clean my car once a year, a week before it’s MOT
I will never drink or eat anything with sweetener in it no matter how hungry & thirsty I am
I say ‘morning’ or ‘hello’ to anyone I pass on my street, even if I don’t know them
I don’t ever wear high heels or get dressed up, no matter where I go, it’s casual
I talk to my dog all the like he gets what I’m saying
I won’t answer my door or phone unless I know who it is
i hang washing on the line all year round - not when raining but I have definitely had many frozen solid clothes this year!

Where did you get that idea from?!

Snowmanscarf · 25/02/2025 14:07

I thank the smart speaker after asking it to do something.

Maltesers are amazing straight out of the freezer too 😘👌

I'm intrigued as to what type of curry this would be (I'm imagining some type of Indian style one rather than, say, a katsu curry for some reason)

Also, are they just plonked on, or sliced?

I do this too! The tracing thing and the blanket to the cinema. I also count words in a sentence and need things to be even numbers despite my favourite numbers actually being odd numbers.

ShinySquirrel · 25/02/2025 14:11

Another blanket-at-the-cinema person here! I only ever go to ones with reclining seats too, so the blanket is the cherry on top.

I have to tap an egg three times before I attempt to crack it. Which, now I've written it, doesn't seem that weird.

Oh! I sweep the old year out of the front door at New Year. That's a bit weird. 😀

DonutCroissant · 25/02/2025 14:12

Honestly the older I get, the more I think it is highly unlikely that anyone does or thinks anything that no one else does. It might be that it is not common but no matter how weird you think your thing is there are other people that do it. I suppose it is one of the benefits of the internet that we all thought we were really strange in one or more life aspects but then realised others are at it too!

Yes Indian type, Masala or Balti usually Sliced and served in a large bowl in the middle of the table, often with a Greek yogurt too. Just plonked on top. We never do this with a takeaway curry though for some reason....

Horrace · 25/02/2025 14:15

If ever in meetings in person, it has to be an odd number so I am the odd one out as I count everyone in twos and I can't possibly be paired with anyone else.
I breathe in looking at a person I like and breathe out looking at someone I like less 🤣.

I'm in work now laughing at myself. Can't believe I've typed this out loud.

HousedInMySoul · 25/02/2025 14:06

Can't remember but I know that I started it.... Our adult Dc all do it and if I made a curry without strawberries they'd definitely miss it. Never with a takeaway though.

Yes! I need everything to be even numbers (volume on TV, in car, number of tins of beans I buy etc) but my favourite numbers are 7 and 9. Never actually realised that...

Gottogetoutofthisplace · 25/02/2025 14:17

I have a security blanket - which is basically now a grey, tangled ball of wool, which I can’t sleep without. I’m 40 this year 😅
