His stupid voice and the stupid things he says makes me want to barf and his stupid orange face and bum hole mouth make me want to ram biros in my eyes.

He’s going to be all over the news for the next four years. 😱

OP posts:

I feel the same . But then I think he will probably start WW111 so it won't matter as we will all be gone.

That’s a bit dramatic 🙄

Neolara · 21/01/2025 15:20

My approach is going to be not reading the news or listening to political podcasts. I'm hoping to be in blissful ignorance.

BooToYouHalloween · 21/01/2025 15:21

How did you cope between 2016 and 2020 when he was last president? Just do whatever you did then.

Erm maybe time to grow up a bit?

JacquiDaytona · 21/01/2025 15:22

I feel a combjnation of all of the above! Cannot see how this will end well for the world - I hope to god that I am being overdramatic. I’m absolutely terrified.

AlteredStater · 21/01/2025 15:23

Well we have been here before, remember! Maybe something good will come out of his term in office, we can only hope!

ByMerryKoala · 21/01/2025 15:24

How are you going to cope? Are you in America? If not, could you stretch to turning off the telly and being a bit selective about your social media feeds or galvanising a bit of grit?

HPandthelastwish · 21/01/2025 15:24

Just don't watch the News. Pick out and read the News you are interested in. The News programmes curate the news for us anyone's no reason not to curate it for yourself.

StressedLP1 · 21/01/2025 15:25

He wasn’t a convicted felon and he didn’t pardon 1500 other felons on his first day of office last time. Nor did he have the world’s richest man buttressing him. Trump 2.0 is a hugely different animal.

Soonenough · 21/01/2025 15:25

@Berlinlover I think it's not dramatic enough . He will set the US back to the Dark Ages , invade countries that he wants and divide the world up between him and Putin..

purplecorkheart · 21/01/2025 15:25

Haha did you have to mention about the bum hole mouth. That had never crossed my mind before but now that is all I will see!

YorkshireIndie · 21/01/2025 15:27

Completely agree. Been avoiding the news - just can be believe how stupid America is.

He is more dangerous this time around because he is not seeking reelection and he knows he is above the law despite his numerous convictions

Chipsahoy · 21/01/2025 15:28

I don’t see him on anything I watch? So easy to avoid. I don’t watch or read news and don’t follow any social media about American politics.

This is me, too. Which angers me as I have always been very politically aware and vocal. But my own mental health must take priority now.

Cowboycorgi · 21/01/2025 15:30

Maybe start by getting a grip?. What state do you live in, maybe we can suggest some hobbies for you. So far, I've managed not to watch a single bit of the inauguration.

APushbikeNamedReluctance · 21/01/2025 15:30

Hmm, not sure I'd agree with his having a bum hole mouth. I've always thought it's like his mouth is orientated 90° off to how everyone's mouth is ordinated. It opens a closes sideways rather than up and down.

SirChenjins · 21/01/2025 15:33

Same as when any other incompetent, bile-spouting idiot comes on the TV or radio - reach for the remote or off switch.

For me, selfishly, it’s the impact it’s already having on the U.K. and Europe. God knows the world needs change but the only people taking advantage of that right now is those who are out for themselves and won’t live long enough to see the destruction it will cause for future generations.

With donations from billionaires being discussed and the spread of hate and misinformation, we’re fucked. It’s the normalisation of hate and division (and the return of the ‘r-word!!!) that I can see creeping into the school where I work.

The gradual (or not so gradual) removal of rights, and the incredibly dangerous combination of a man who has nothing to lose, is out for personal revenge, and has all the tools to destroy whatever he wants. In 2016, we hadn’t been through covid, social media was a different world and the world was much more stable.

Surely you can see why this is a very different scenario this time round?! On a positive note, it’s made me feel very aware of how important my community is and making the effort with friends, family and neighbours. It’s made me not want to touch Amazon or Insta with a barge pole and I really hope there are others who will feel the same.

That's the spirit, stay positive 👍🤣

We have. And the last time we were here, he tried armed insurrection to overthrow "democracy". I am waiting with not entirely bated breath for him to try to delete the 22nd Amendment (which restricts US presidents to two terms). There is precedent - the amendment is very recent (1951) and FDR had three terms...

Mespher · 21/01/2025 15:38

Are you in America

ERthree · 21/01/2025 15:39

FFS, the same way you coped last time he was President. Talk about hysterical.

swimsong · 21/01/2025 15:40

BlueberryPieface · 21/01/2025 15:21

Erm maybe time to grow up a bit?

What a puerile response.
Is your next escalation going to be bragging that your dad is bigger than her dad?

Mespher · 21/01/2025 15:41

OP just wants drama to post on here
