You can't change the situation or influence it in any way, so just ignore him. Freeze him out of your consciousness, and hope the American people come to their senses in 4 years.

And don't buy a Tesla.

FWIW, I have a similar reaction to Jim Carey.
There are just some people that irrationally make me cringe, but actors aren’t in charge of one of the largest and most influential countries in the world.

I'm Canadian and quite nervous personally.

I don't think ignoring the news is helpful, I'd rather know what the world is up against.

I do think people are being naive about how bad this presidency will be.

He will hold nothing back, and he's a dangerous man.

I feel the same. I try to avoid the news but I logged onto mumsnet before I went to sleep and ended up seeing Elon Musk doing a Nazi salute. I then fell asleep an anxious mess. I just cannot believe the situation has come to this. It's terrifying.

Millions voted for this , they seem to think it'll pan out alright.
He was in for four years before and didn't start WW3.
It is what it is.

Trouble is, a lot of Trump voters are too deluded/blinkered to understand the danger they've put the world into...

What may seem like a change of subject. ITV2 scheduled all the Rowling fims so they finixhed with the Secrets of Dumbledore on Trump's inauguration day. And there were the same speeches "peaceful transfer of power" etc. I know Grindlewald was echoing Hitler, but boy was it interesting to see familiaities. Shame we've no Dumbledore or Newt.

If you turn the sound up on that clip to find out what is going on you will realise it was nothing of the sort.

Meanwhile I saw a footballer put both arms in the air which must mean he is two Nazis or a Double Nazi like Double Cream.

Same. I sent an article about him pardoning the rioters to an American Uk based friend and they said please don’t I can’t deal with this, which is fair enough.

I think a lot of people are just going to try and pay him less attention. I certainly am.
