As I posted on that thread (and the Trump one) a really good press test to see if anyone believes in this bollocks is to see if people stop flying in the US because they believe it.

It would be a shame if (for example) American Airlines had to effectively say "you know that weird guy on TV ? He was talking trash - it's still safe to fly".

I think maybe it would be more polite to stop mentioning anyone specific at Mumsnet.
