If not Lurpak, what?

PolaDeVeboise · 07/12/2024 14:36

I like the 'white' butter of Lurpak, as opposed to the 'yellow' of most. Can anyone recommend a decent alternative?

We use Yeo Valley Organic. Often cheaper than Lurpak. I don’t think the additive can be fed to organic cows.

So is there a list of non Arla produced dairy products/companies? I dont live near a local farm or small business like this so am limited to supermarkets

Basically anything organic (for now at least)

This lists some of the companies Bovaer free, but it is a work in progress as obviously more information comes out. https://fullfartmilk.info/?s=09

I am not making unfounded claims unless you find two studies over 90 and 56 days respectively adequate and I am allowed to express a personal opinion. I get it, you personally don't mind it and are happy to buy it and drink/eat it.

I'm referring to your comment regarding the Arla CEO. That's unfounded.

Now you are putting words into my mouth. I think people should have a choice and should be given all information to make that choice. It is no issue if others choose to purchase Arla products or from non-Bovaer dairies or organic or to forgo dairy altogether. I do wonder though what your interest is as you seem to be very pro. Actually, I don't wonder, that would be a lie and I am not going to respond to your digs regarding my professional status.

If people want to they can read the literature themselves and come to their own conclusions.

closest I've found it Nordpak from Aldi or Danpak from Lidl, hard to tell the difference with Lurpak and much cheaper

Yes this....tasty and one of them is whiter in colour..... but likely these at some point will be tainted by the Arla additive....WHY do our Governments just foist these things on us....OH don't you know "its just experimental"

Bloody charlatans the lot of them!

It is a personal opinion and speculative I admit. I express that I would not be surprised not that it is fact.

You must understand how irresponsible it is to declare that you're a scientist and then make unfounded claims though?

ByMerryKoala · 08/12/2024 14:02

I'm not convinced that laying out all the other crap that goes on the production of milk is going to pull them away from switching to organic either. 'Look at at the other shit they do', isn't the customer retention winning line that you think it is.

It's not just experimental.
It doesn't reach the milk.
There is NO issue.

It's not intended to be customer winning, it's to show the hypocrisy/idiocracy of being bothered about this one non-issue. 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

So, you just want people to know that you think that they are stupid? I think you've achieved your aim, not sure that you've convinced anyone to change their mind though.

How does wanting to eat organic make someone a conspiracy theorist?!

Lurpak was never organic, unless you specifically bought their organic green label. Do if you didn't, what's the issue now,??

We get it, you believe Arla products are completely safe and bovaer doesn’t pass through to the milk, you’ve told us many many times. But this thread is about alternatives to Lurpak and what people can buy instead of Arla products. So you bleating on and on with your stupid emoji faces also adds nothing. HTH

My dear, I already clarified that my comment about the Arla CEO was a speculative personal opinion. Which part of that did you miss?
