We are always asked this at work training and I never really know what to say .. am I just a boring person .. what are your interesting facts ..

I used to answer this with "I used to be a man" because when I was born I was accidentally registered wrong (in my mother's country, was born in the UK and birth certificate was fine there, but my mum registered me in her country too and a mistake was made somehow) and put down as male instead of female.
But nowadays I don't tend to use that one...

The one I always use is that many years ago, I was gifted a beautiful silk scarf by Bertrand Goldschmidt, a French chemist who was the last ever research assistant to work for Marie Curie. It was a thank you for some admin work I did for him when he visited my boss in the UK (nuclear energy industry). I still have it, and his lovely hand written thank you note.

Is it radioactive?

I have a very rare condition, that nearly all the Doctors that I come into contact with, have never heard of. They seem to certainly find it interesting enough. But I sigh inward when I have to inform them of my medical history.

I own a collection of skulls and bones from various sources. One is called Yorick.

I've interviewed the descendant of a very controversial (but fascinating) French writer and philosopher whose name became attributed to some rather interesting things.

I design and make historically accurate costumes as a hobby. I can also swordfight on horseback.

I have over 250,000 followers on social media

My I.Q (measured by doing a 3 hour exam for Mensa) is 143, applicable to only 3% of the population. Not enough to get me into Mensa, but still excellent.

I purposely come out with something not very interesting or unusual for these, such as "I like old Hammer horror films" so they quickly move on to the next person.

I have a lifetime ban from international competition in one activity.

I stopped a bullet using just one of my ears.

Mine is usually 'I've sung at the Royal Albert Hall' [as part of a large school choir, when I was 14].
