@jollygreenpea I wasn't on my own, we were up against The Beast and he was really p'd off that he'd lost and stomped off the minute filming finished.

The Beast always looks as if his head alone would weigh about four stone.

There are so many awesome facts on here about people! Mine are very boring, sorry!

I'm a published poet.

I was interviewed for Newsround and out of the hundreds they filmed, mine was the one they used on the TV (I've never seen it - but my dad and sister were at home watching tv and suddenly I was on screen).

I've met most of the cast of 3 tv series (if I name the series here, anyone that knows me will know this is me lol).

Very boring!

Tillow4ever · 14/10/2024 14:34

Oh I'm also someone without a middle name!

GeorgiePeachie · 14/10/2024 14:37

I have face blindness. I really struggle to recognise faces and rely on voices, walking style, hairstyles/colours, clothes, facial hair and where people sit.

I've seen The Beast stomp off before, so that doesn't surprise me.

Did you have a good day, did you do something good with the money?

Needalisteningear · 14/10/2024 23:52

The roof of my mouth used to be full of adult fully grown teeth.

I can read upside down but the interesting bit is that I was into my 30s before I realised that not everyone can do it.
And no way would I have said that at an interview they would have hidden their comments about me. 🤣

I'm 58 in a couple of weeks. Today I found out not everyone can read upside down.

That explains why you sometimes see writing on roads. I read something and it takes a split second to realise it is not an instruction to me.

Iclyn · 15/10/2024 01:18

A recent scan showed I have 2 spleens .

Gymnopedie · 15/10/2024 01:34

All the joints in my left arm are incredibly flexible. I can scratch an itch anywhere on my back without having to do the 'up a bit, left a bit' when someone else is trying to do it for you. And yes, I demonstrate if challenged.

I have no middle name and I once found a list on the web of everyone in the UK - a collation of all the electoral rolls. I am the only one of my name in the UK. And I'm white British, so not a foreign name. Relatively uncommon surname and first name, no-one else with the combination.

I have 6 bachelor degrees, an MA and a PhD. I rarely tell people IRL about this as it leads to questions.

I have an accessory navicular - an extra bone in my foot. This means I had to give up running as it cause me too much foot pain.

Please tell me how you did this, my dream!!

I self-published originally, hiring my own illustrator, editor, etc. Two children's picture books. Built a following on social media, lots of marketing. It was hard. Then my debut book won an award and both were picked up by a traditional publisher. I had originally queried lots of agents/publishers to no avail. So, the self-publishing route and proving they were successful worked for me. Most people would either do one or the other, not both, so mine wasn't typical. I am currently writing books 3 and 4. Good luck!

My great grandad was on Hitlers 'hit list' for keeping Jews in his house.
He left before the house was raided and my grandad was taken in and put in a concentration camp.
He obviously survived but he was a damaged man.

I’m a normal family wife/mum, but throughout my adult life I have made a life changing sum by working in the adult industry. Anyone who knows me would be speechless if they knew.

Karatema · 15/10/2024 11:02

I babysat for Adam Ant's first wife and my parents went to the wedding!

Mine is usually 'I've sung at the Royal Albert Hall' [as part of a large school choir, when I was 14].

There are some more exciting / intriguing ones in this thread though!

Ooh! Me too! Was it The Messiah?
