The police should never have been privy to that information in the first place. The content of communication between a person and their legal team is supposedly to be confidential. How the hell did the police access it?

I guess via the undercover cop who was in a false relationship with Helen Steel?

Glad to see the Starmer rumour thread got zapped. It took a while, though.

newnamethanks · 15/10/2024 21:03

Yes, what a shock, however did that happen? The most surprising thing is that McDonald's lost the case. Well done KS.

I left it before dinner with my custard cream rumour and got back just in time for the deletion message, missing most of what happened in between.

The good news is that Kemi Badenoch is not a lesbian so it had some value.

Otherwise it revealed a very nasty side to some regular posters

It did indeed, One in particular seems happy to support posters who are homophobic (or Islamophobic going by what happened on another thread) as long as they are anti-Labour. Eye-opening.

And still nonsense about a Taylor Swift rumbles on, even on unrelated threads. I feel like I’m going mad. They don’t really believe that a) the police escort wasn’t totally normal and b) Starmer was given tickets in exchange for it do they? Do they? I can’t get my head round it.

They know it's a load of old crap, but anything to bash Labour is fine. It is completely insane. I don't remember it being this bad in 1997, and Labour made some early cock ups then and lost a by election. But we didn't have social media and the internet beings beginning with b.

Oh boy what did I miss? Or am I better off not knowing?

Willowkins · 15/10/2024 23:11

If I recall correctly, back in 1997, the (New) Labour Party had the support of the Daily Mirror, The Guardian, The Independent and The Sun!

Inflation dropped to 1.7%.

Inflation dropped to 1.7%.

But...but... it's all an unmitigated disaster!

Zonder · 16/10/2024 07:42

And everyone knows that inflation only counts as any kind of marker if it drops under a Tory government.

Inflation dropped to 1.7%.

Far less important than Starmer spending 10 minutes talking to Swift about Southport.

BIossomtoes · 16/10/2024 08:10

Someone please tell me it’s not going to be like this until 2029!

DuncinToffee · 16/10/2024 08:29

Labour pulled out of an interview with Sky, very likely to due with the idiotic questions about TS

Labour as a whole, or one particular representative?

Nothing like a bit of hyperbole to give you a made up headline. I really hate this lazy, excitable journalism.

DuncinToffee · 16/10/2024 08:43

I think just the one representative for today's show with Kay Burley

DuncinToffee · 16/10/2024 09:13

Starmer should roll up at PMQ's to a TS song 🎶

I can't believe even The Guardian is making a thing of this.
