Oasis tickets

1000 replies

Helplessandheartbroke · 30/08/2024 23:56

So I didn't make the ballot so missed out on the pre sale and I'm angered that viagogo have purchased a load of pre sale tickets and are selling them for 600 quid each! It's a dream to see oasis in Manchester (my home town) and its looking very unlikely unless some miracle happens in the queue for general sale tomorrow... just ranting but please keep your fingers crossed for me

Jeez…I’m 113000 in the queue, and Wembley has max capacity of 90,000…so not sure what the point is!

Yeah I’m the same

Happyearlyretirement · 31/08/2024 09:28

Been in the queue to get into ticketmaster from 8.25, blue line is moving along very slowly. Don’t think there will be any tickets left by the time I get onto the actual selling site. Hopefully I will be able to pick up genuine resales a later date. I was in the lottery for presale but didn’t get a code.

SaltandPepper22 · 31/08/2024 09:28

I am also in two site queues on two different devices, just in case! I’m actually finding this all quite exhilarating! Haven’t actually decided how many tickets to buy if I make it there - I will want two, one for me and one for DH but thinking about buying 4 and finding another couple to go with us or maybe giving to my parents as an Xmas present

So if there’s 90000 people in front of me in the queue and the venue only holds 40,000 is there any point of me staying in the queue ?

Maybe. Some will crash out, some will be on multiple devices and will close them once they have tickets etc.

YellowphantGrey · 31/08/2024 09:29

I'm currently now at 19,000 for first night Cardiff

So is DD - with about 20,000 people ahead of her!

Finally got through to Dublin tickets. €490
EACH. Eh no thank you.

SaltandPepper22 · 31/08/2024 09:29

@SweetTeaCup some people will get kicked off the site or give up so don’t abandon your place in the queue just in case

ZenNudist · 31/08/2024 09:29

DH says he'd rather have had his lie in and a cup of tea but we are still trying for DS(14)

Dh and I are reminiscing about buying tickets at hmv..

Ahahhhh - the good old days....<dons rose tinted specs>

Oh no, really? Was that for the Saturday or the Sunday?

FomApp · 31/08/2024 09:30

It's bread and circuses for the well-off middle and upper classes. At least the chariot races and gladiator fighting in Rome were free🙁.

Holy shit that’s insane!! This is my fear for the Wembley tickets, if I ever get past the queue that it’s only the insanely expensive ones left

afrikat · 31/08/2024 09:28

Ticket prices have been published

It makes me feel old when my first reaction is "why would anyone pay more for standing?". 90s me would have been lets get as near to the band as possible, 2025s me is standing for a couple of hours is a long time - can I take a picnic rug.

SweetTeaCup · 31/08/2024 09:33

Oh I never even thought of the fact all the reasonable tickets will be gone and only the super expensive left 😩

Sunshineandrainbow · 31/08/2024 09:34

AhBiscuits · 31/08/2024 09:25

The speed the queue is moving, this will take about 2 business days 😄

Pretty shocked how slow the queue is moving

wonderstuff · 31/08/2024 09:34

The Mirror online reckons there’s 1.1 million tickets available and people have a 1/14 chance of getting tickets today!

I’m getting bored now really, DH is prepared to give up. I don’t know what the answer is, clearly this is ridiculous, but if 10 million people are after a million tickets what do you do?

I have the same screen as you, so no way of knowing where I am in the queue

I think it must be just the queue for the website so not even the queue for tickets yet. The queue for the queue 😭

Thing is, there is a benefit to making it a bit more of a hassle to get tickets/ enter things. I always say with London Marathon, if you still had to go to a running shop, pick up a paper form and mail it off, people would give it a bit more thought. The no show rate for LM is now way way higher than it used to be, and similarly, the resales for this will be insane once people realise how much hotels etc are going to be or that actually that's the week they're on holiday.

That is me too! I've been told I'm being boring by DH and DD for wanting a seated ticket! I'm the one in the queue though so I'll make the decision (if we even get the option to buy)

Sakura7 · 31/08/2024 09:36

I was number 26,000 in the queue for Dublin and by the time I got in it was sold out.

It moved pretty slowly until around 8000 to go, then started moving very quickly, so that was probably the point where lots of people left due to no tickets left (or very expensive tickets).

SweetTeaCup · 31/08/2024 09:36

I’m still gutted I didn’t get a presale code
This is an absolute rammy having to do it this way.
I think the chances are so slim

wonderstuff · 31/08/2024 09:37

I’m out. What a farce.

DH got into the queue for Cardiff night one three minutes after you and he's in position 112,000 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️
