Oasis tickets

1000 replies

Helplessandheartbroke · 30/08/2024 23:56

So I didn't make the ballot so missed out on the pre sale and I'm angered that viagogo have purchased a load of pre sale tickets and are selling them for 600 quid each! It's a dream to see oasis in Manchester (my home town) and its looking very unlikely unless some miracle happens in the queue for general sale tomorrow... just ranting but please keep your fingers crossed for me

Why are you going on all the threads where people are trying to buy tickets posting this drivel?

Get a life you sad little loser!

Hmmmm childish reply. Most women I would suggest do care about misogyny and wouldn't fund a band well known for indulging in it. I'm guessing you're a man with no daughters hence why misogyny is of zero concern to you?

youheard · 03/09/2024 10:59

To whoever complained to the ASA - where did you see the ticket prices originally advertised? I was aware via a friend sending a screenshot from a fan page but I'm looking for original evidence of where they announced their inital prices.

Is it possible that the media has overhyped this and people really aren't that interested. I don't know anyone that has any interest in going.

I’m 59 and know loads of people who have got tickets and are going …….well over 1 million tickets have been sold …..so a fair bit of interest I would say

I know a good few women who have tickets to go…..they actually all have DDs And GDs …it’s a fucking concert…..they just want to sing along to wonderwall with their mates and have a good night out 🙄

They were everywhere….I saw them advertised in the Manchester evening news …..the original article is still online dated 29/8

Hmmm more insults instead of reasoned arguments? Take a hard look at yourself and ask yourself why you condone misogyny and continue to throw childish insults around.

Heads up.

Details of a New Ticket Ballot to come.
Two additional dates for Wembley on 27 and 28 September 2025.

You will only be able to get tickets if you apply for the ballot and are successful in getting through.

No details on whether dynamic pricing will be in action or not.

Hey @Zebedee999 2 more dates have been added…. You may not have to miss out after all 😁

I kind of think this makes the situation worse, the people who panicked and bought the overpriced tix (my friend) are now even less likely to get reasonably priced tickets because they will count as successful in the first ballot and there'll be even more of a gap between those that were ripped off and those that weren't

I see Oasis say "they had no knowledge" of dynamic pricing and are blaming management. Which may well be true but doesn't make it any better, they should be on it.

Oh god let the memes and lyric puns run free! More madness, bring it on 😊

Righttoo · 04/09/2024 18:44

I agree with @youheard it’s not fair for people who paid over the odds thinking it was their best chance to see them. Then if a whole load of new dates are added and in the second round on ticketmaster lots of people get more reasonable priced tickets.

Then they can refund the difference. Shouldn't be difficult. All the details are stored. They knew because it's their job to know. Someone will sit down with them and ask how much do you want? Or make an offer. But somewhere someone wold have said we can offerbyounthe chance to MAKE MORE MONEY!!!! Chances are they will get a % of the booking fees as well.

RedToothBrush · 04/09/2024 19:35

There's a number of people now saying that there's grounds to take Ticketmaster/Oasis to court for breaking consumer law.

Whether anyone will is another matter.

I think it will be interesting to see how they price this - if Oasis don't like dynamic pricing, it should be fairly easy for them to refuse to do it for these Wembley dates.

But if they do that, they open themselves up to even more criticism over unfair pricing for the first set, with people feeling even more resentment.

Rock meet hard place.

In terms of the ballot, they can tell which Ticketmaster accounts previously got tickets - emails were shared with Ticketmaster for the ballot, so they will be able to tell who has bought tickets.

And then there's a household restriction so you can't just use a different address. You would have to use a different email AND address.

An email will go out to their mailing list and they will release the details via Oasis's, Noel's and Liam's social media accounts.

And, the people complaining about Oasis will be delighted to hear this, it's liable to be all over the BBC and other news outlets too.

It was 4 tickets per show, regardless of venue.

RidiculousPrice · 04/09/2024 19:58

I reckon a lot of people from USA etc got tickets which is why they are only allowing UK people to apply for the extra two dates.

As if they are playing USA as well they will get another option to see them.

I doubt they care. If they're not bothered about ripping their UK fans off, then they're probably not that fussed who buys the tickets, as long as they pay!

US / Canada tour rumoured to start the weekend after Croke Park.

Toronto, New York, Chicago, Boston and LA if I remember correctly. Between the 28th August and 7th September I think. Which fits well with the dates for a return to Wembley.

I would suspect there may be a Japan/South Korea date thrown into the mix at some point too but not seen rumours on that yet.

Pedallleur · 04/09/2024 20:19

All the ticket details/ads should have a notice to say e.g. Surge pricing May be involved if demand is high. But acts won't like that as it makes them look greedy and there is the potential to put off buyers.

I just checked on Ticketmaster website and we were both wrong….it’s actually 4 per household per show …..so in theory you could have bought loads and still can….it was only capped for the first presale
