Oasis tickets

So I didn't make the ballot so missed out on the pre sale and I'm angered that viagogo have purchased a load of pre sale tickets and are selling them for 600 quid each! It's a dream to see oasis in Manchester (my home town) and its looking very unlikely unless some miracle happens in the queue for general sale tomorrow... just ranting but please keep your fingers crossed for me

This takes the piss doesn't it?! I knew this would happen. Same happened with Taylor Swift tickets. I don't understand why Oasis themselves, and their management, don't take steps to stop this shit. (Same with Taylor Swift and other BIG acts that this happens with...)

I am sick of fans being ripped off to the nth degree. Making some people pay multiple 100s - and even 1000s of pounds for a CONCERT TICKET. Fucking disgusting.

Why are these companies like Ticketmaster and Viagogo allowed to buy 1000s of tickets and charge 10 times the original price?! It should be outlawed. It was NEVER a thing when my DC were children/teens (noughties and early 2010s.) I am soooooooo glad to be missing this shit!

It's all very odd and suspicious IMO. I do wonder if they are all in it together...........

Why are the artists allowing this to happen to their fans?????? 🤔 It's their work and it's their concerts. Why the fuck are they not stopping it?

And I am NOT going to buy it that they can't control what their management does.

No one is being made to pay 100s and 1000s of pounds. No one is forcing anyone to pay that.

For Knebworth I was online early and crashed out numerous times. There were 250,000 tickets available. I got 2 for each night at 4pm because I stuck it out. I think it sold out not long after that but I still got them

Um…nobody knew how to use the internet in 1996 - or what the hell it was! Are you thinking of Robbie Williams?

Knebworth was definitely phone only!! Much was stressful…!

Me too…queue page now saying I’m a bot with a whirling circle…wtf?!

Bluebellsinthewind · 31/08/2024 13:52

@EineReiseDurchDieZeit it's really shocking. Ticketmaster needs to sort themselves out.

Itsgoingtobe · 31/08/2024 13:52

Knebworth was a phone number or you got tickets in person from Record Shops etc. So you are mistaken.

I can assure you they were sold online.

I went to both Knebworth and Loch Lomond. I got one set through the phone and one set through the internet.

Back then there were shortcuts around the seetickets / gigsandtours websites so you could get a better chance at tickets. There was a bunch of us sharing information about how to do this and getting tickets between us.

Most people didn't have access to the internet at that point and the capacity was bloody shocking but they definitely were selling online.

Bluebellsinthewind · 31/08/2024 13:48

Tickmaster has now said they think I am a bot and suspended me!

What a fucking shambles!

I got this too. Wasted 6 hours there.

Oasis tickets
Sugargliderwombat · 31/08/2024 13:53

Just got them on see tickets. Just refresh refresh refresh, never bother with ticketmaster.

TellySavalashairbrush · 31/08/2024 13:53

Honestly would not go and see them if they were playing in my back garden ! 🤣🤣

Gooseysgirl · 31/08/2024 13:54

I'm at 2500 now so I might aswell stay and see what's left for my date if anything. But I'm never doing this again. It's just not worth it.

And it winds me up NO END when I see 'celebrities' posting online about how far behind in the queue they are.... the very same people who you can be sure will be sharing posts of themselves at one of the gigs next summer because someone has gifted them tickets...

Popcorntv · 31/08/2024 13:54

Memories of buying tickets for Knebworth…

Nonamenoplacetogo · 31/08/2024 13:54

Anyone in the queue for Sat Cardiff, just got to front of queue, no seated tickets left, standing over £350 and only other tickets left very accessible ones and platinum at almost £400. HTH

SweetTeaCup · 31/08/2024 13:55

Edinburgh showing as fully grey when I finally got through to top of waiting list , assuming it means all sold out.
Wouldnt let me select any tickets , nothing to tab / select etc.
So after wasting 6 hours of my Saturday I’m going to enjoy the sun ☀️
Absolutely gutted

Cattyisbatty · 31/08/2024 13:55

still in queue 83,000!!

ArabellaFishwife · 31/08/2024 13:55

Ticketmaster frequently think I'm a bot. I don't know why. I'm usually only after a single ticket. I'm not taking part in this particular scramble, but people I know have eventually turned tail when the price of the tickets had risen to stupid levels once they got to the front of the queue. They wanted to pay for gig tickets, not go without a holiday.

Go on see tickets and gigs and tours. Just refresh. Got mine about 10 minutes ago.

dontforgetme · 31/08/2024 13:56

Got to the front for Cardiff

£350 a ticket

£700 for 2 tickets no fucking chance.

Bluebellsinthewind · 31/08/2024 13:58

@NyeRobey maybe they are suspending people to get the queue down.

MadKittenWoman · 31/08/2024 13:58

Nearly 5 hours in the queue to get chucked off because any ticket request just kept buffering...

birdsongfromtheshedroof · 31/08/2024 13:59

@NyeRobey I got that a few hours ago I hit join queue again and it just put me back in the queue in the same place

I joined the 'first' queue just before 8:30am. Currently 138,727th in the queue for Cardiff night two. It seems absolutely mad that you can try to start the process half an hour before tickets go on sale and then 5 hours later are still over 100,000 places away. I'm realistic that I'm unlikely to get tickets at this stage, just makes you think there has to be a better way than this!?!

I managed to get lucky and joined queue around 8.45 at number 12689 for Cardiff 5/07 Got to number 1 and then thought they had kicked me out but there is a bit of a glitch. Got through to sales screen around 10.30 and very little left. Ended up paying double the advertised cost for “platinum” seats. Bought 2 for DS and his super fan best mate.
They will be a decent 21st birthday present and are good seats ( currently same block is on sale on viagogo for £2-7k each although I’m not allowed to sell them and I’m sure they would be cancel if I tried).
At 10.30 there was very little left, the initial prices are dynamic so no cheap seats available.
It’s very sad that they are allowed to increase the price during the sales process and for many people they will be out of reach.

JumpinJellyfish · 31/08/2024 14:01

Back in the queue after the weird suspended message - still 27k people ahead of me mind you
