Oasis tickets

So I didn't make the ballot so missed out on the pre sale and I'm angered that viagogo have purchased a load of pre sale tickets and are selling them for 600 quid each! It's a dream to see oasis in Manchester (my home town) and its looking very unlikely unless some miracle happens in the queue for general sale tomorrow... just ranting but please keep your fingers crossed for me

After a nightmare with Taylor Swift tickets, that was relatively straightforward for me this morning - got in Dublin waiting room around 7.45 then was 65k in the queue - got to around 12900 and then it stopped going down so knew that was going nowhere. Meanwhile got in waiting room for all the Wembley dates on separate tabs on my phone about 8.15 - I think they added an extra Friday 25 July this morning so had to wait a while to get into that waiting room. Once queues opened I was under 10k for two dates. Once I got to front I couldn’t pick up 4 tickets so ended up grabbing 2 seating for 30/7, then hung on in another queue to pick up a single standing ticket for another date for a friend. Have a very disappointed DC who wanted to come so may keep an eye out for a seated ticket on resale and DH can sit elsewhere.

It looks to me like there are plenty of gaps for more dates to be added though and with Taylor I know people had random bits of luck logging in on other days months after they went on sale and picking up a returned ticket.

I want to go if anyone wants company. Or has a spare ticket.... 🤔

I queued for about 2 hours on Ticketmaster then it kicked me out thinking I was a bot. Now if I try to go back into Ticketmaster I just get the same bot message. Gigs and tours all day has just had a regularly refreshing queue system message.

Don’t know why it thought I was a bot, was only on one device. I am on holiday abroad though so wondered if it was that, although I can see other people have bought tickets from abroad.

Will just have to see if a resale ticket pops up - I only want one so hopefully that might increase chances!

JumpinJellyfish · 31/08/2024 13:37

35k in the queue for Wembley on 3 August - must be no hope basically but it’s not exactly a hardship leaving the tab open on my phone.

NyeRobey · 31/08/2024 13:37

I have been in the effing queue since 9 am and just got booted off for being a bot. Which I am not.

PadstowGirl · 31/08/2024 13:39

Got down to 21k then got kicked out as they had reason to suspect that im a bot. Never again. Fuck you Oasis.

RedToothBrush · 31/08/2024 13:40

The word 'crashed' is trending on twitter uk. No prizes for guessing what that is about.

KevinDeBrioche · 31/08/2024 13:40

JUST GOT FOUR on see tickets! keep refreshing ...

Prinnny · 31/08/2024 13:40

Well I have a hotel room for Manny but no tickets, I’ll have to try catch a resale one. Frigging Ticketmaster!

I joined the 'first' queue just before 8:30am. Currently 138,727th in the queue for Cardiff night two. It seems absolutely mad that you can try to start the process half an hour before tickets go on sale and then 5 hours later are still over 100,000 places away. I'm realistic that I'm unlikely to get tickets at this stage, just makes you think there has to be a better way than this!?!

My DH got put in the numberless queue around 8am. When I tried joining at 9 I got put straight in the actual queue. So it seems like it's just pure luck who gets through.

NoMoreFalafelForYou · 31/08/2024 13:43

I don’t understand how some people are just logging on and buying tickets with no problem. What are they doing differently?

NoMoreFalafelForYou · 31/08/2024 13:44

We also started queuing at 8ish this morning and followed all the advice for how to stay in the queue.

Bluebellsinthewind · 31/08/2024 13:44

I've been stuck in the queue since 9am. Tickmaster have now said tickets are in demand. Standing tickets now over £355 per ticket.

Twitter is on fire!

Edited to add, I keep getting flung out the queue 😤

I got to the front of the Cardiff queue at 12ish after starting at about 40,000 at 9:00 - I only wanted 2 tickets but it didn’t matter which category I selected I either got a message saying there were no tickets of that type left or a spinning wheel saying confirming availability which would eventually come up with an error message. Kept trying to select tickets for about half an hour, then it booted me out. What a waste of time! Good luck to everyone still trying.

FunkyMonks · 31/08/2024 13:46

I've given up Cardiff are now showing limited availability and ticketmaster the thieves have upped prices themselves for in demand disgusting sod it I seen them in 2009 I'm not stupid nor desperate to pay over the odds to see them again.

Good luck to those still trying.

I think the better question is 'am i willing to spend £350 a ticket' rather than will I get a ticket at this point.

There are going to be A LOT of people still expecting to get £150 tickets as advertised who won't pay that much.

If you are willing to pay the higher price then keep queuing.

Otherwise, I'd be knocking it on the head at this point.

Its now nearly 2pm. I think dates will start to sell out soon. I would have said to stick with it regardless but with the change in pricing, ask yourself the serious question about how much you want to pay for tickets.

I thought £150 for a ticket in a park in Manchester was A LOT. £350 is nuts. Especially knowing that Heaton Park has previously had issues with flooding at gigs. Even if they put matting down (which can get slippy in rain), by the last night, I wouldn't fancy it.

Like gambling, know when to quit.

Out of 15 of us, only 2 of us managed to get them. Me and my OH! I started queuing at half 8 on the whim and by 9:25 I had tickets. I was only in a queue of 2000 so I think I refreshed at the right time, when it kicked everyone out and I must've somehow pushed in. It's purely luck, I still have friends trying now!

That’s interesting because that’s what happened to us too.

we jumped on at 8.20 when others had been on earlier and we were 3000 in the line, others 80,000 who had been on earlier. We got tickets around 10.30

We are the only ones who got though. Seems like the best time was around 8.30 to start waiting

Bluebellsinthewind · 31/08/2024 13:48

Tickmaster has now said they think I am a bot and suspended me!

What a fucking shambles!

Pedallleur · 31/08/2024 13:48

Oddly there are no higher than face value tickets for Dublin. It's illegal so that should be the law everywhere. That bastard Chris Miller CEO of Viagogo might be out of a job.
