Oasis tickets

Helplessandheartbroke · 30/08/2024 23:56

So I didn't make the ballot so missed out on the pre sale and I'm angered that viagogo have purchased a load of pre sale tickets and are selling them for 600 quid each! It's a dream to see oasis in Manchester (my home town) and its looking very unlikely unless some miracle happens in the queue for general sale tomorrow... just ranting but please keep your fingers crossed for me

My friend got here, put 4 in her basket. Then it crashed

This though 😭

CaveMum · 31/08/2024 12:54

DH has taken DS swimming!

Currently 21,834 in the Wembley queue so it's slowed down a bit.

greengreyblue · 31/08/2024 12:54

Friend got to front, selected tickets then got thrown out! Absolute fiasco.

Took three hours but I have 2 very good tickets!

I was 25000 in the que at 9am.

birdsongfromtheshedroof · 31/08/2024 12:56

If you get to front of queue for chosen date does it allow you to look at other dates too?

Thebaguette · 31/08/2024 12:56

brightyellowflower · 31/08/2024 12:36

So this is where the internet is not a good thing.

Back in the day, pay £20 and buy an actual ticket from an actual shop.

People are just going mad. Oasis are just a band. I went to see them in the 90s. They were good but nothing special. And they were young then.

^^ there's also this!

There's nothing mad about wanting to see your favourite band when they start playing after years of break.

TheOneWithUnagi · 31/08/2024 12:57

The 26th at Wembley about 15 mins ago was only the pricey packages and surge priced standing tickets at £350. But even when I tried to add them to the basket it wouldn't let me (not sure if I would actually have let myself buy them had I been successful!). Ah never mind, they probably would have been shit anyway 🤣

SwedishEdith · 31/08/2024 12:57

Relatives in Australia have got them for Ireland. I know of ones who got some for Manchester from See tickets. I'm still in the queue out of obstinacy for 16 July. Not for me but family. I can't stand them.

I got kicked out there as it thought I was a bot. How come it kicks out real people but bots manage to get tickets?

Yep, I would like to know that too. Hmm

Fuck this I'm not wasting any more of a sunny day on this, I'm going to relax in the garden!

Good for you! Hope you do manage to get tickets eventually though (and soon...)

@Popcorntv

Just had the same thing happen. Half a day of a much needed holiday wasted. What a mug I am.

Same to you. Hope you get tickets soon, at reasonable prices.

I am sorry for banging on - and I know I am being a little bit shitty towards people paying over-inflated prices by calling them mugs, (sorry Blush...) I am just exasperated that people are willing to pay crazy prices. If they refused, these people selling them at £500+ wouldn't be able to do what they do - (rip people off!)

I genuinely hope people manage to get their tickets and don't end up having to pay bonkers prices!

Filterphobia · 31/08/2024 12:58

Still in queue of 50,000 plus for Heaton Park tickets. Anyone got through for Heaton Park today and managed to get any or know if they have sold out?

NellyCortado · 31/08/2024 12:59

Does anyone know it is just top price tickets left for Cardiff and Edinburgh? Assuming so...

I thought it was only ticket master?

I thought the same. It's so unfair, not everyone had thr same information about the sale.

CaveMum · 31/08/2024 13:00

I've told DH that I am not prepared to buy expensive tickets just for the sake of it. I'd rather take my chances on the resale sites a couple of months before the gigs.

I don't have a great record when it comes to buying high-demand tickets - I was one of the folks who managed to get Michael Jackson tickets just before he died!

same. there will be some on twickets nearer the time. And if they aren't, fuck it.

CometCupidDonnerBlitzen · 31/08/2024 13:02

See Tickets finally loaded, I clicked and boom, back in the queue. I thought for a moment I had a chance...

Oasisac · 31/08/2024 13:03

Anyone know if there’s any reasonably priced tickets left for the 26th July ? Not sure whether to give up

PadstowGirl · 31/08/2024 13:03

Im number 33k now on Ticketmaster.
What do you reckon my chances are?

It becomes like gambling. People go nuts and pay more than they can afford due to Fear Of Missing Out. Its how high pressure sales methods work.

If you've spent hours trying to get tickets, its sunk costs mentality.

Know you price limit BEFORE you hit the ticket screen. It does send people mental.

I think the thing is, knowing that its £500 on resale and that you would be prepared to pay that means its better to pay £500 for a premuim ticket. If thats your budget then fair enough.

I wouldn't pay that much for even my fav bands. Two tickets or a holiday. Keep that in your mind.

Incredibly poor I think. I'm 2000 odd now and I've basically given up

Prinnny · 31/08/2024 13:08

I just got to the front for Heaton Park, says tickets are £355 but when you click buy it’s just spinning so looks like none left 😫

Filterphobia · 31/08/2024 13:09

@Prinnny oh no!! What’s date is that for please?

correct. I'll not be paying that for tickets but the absolute pain in the arse to get there and home anyway. I hate stadium gigs tbh but I thought what the hell I'll give it a go.
