I am currently wearing a summer nightie from British Home Stores.

Yesterday I was measuring a picture frame with a Woolworths ruler.

What about you?

I rediscovered a camisole in my drawer this week - from St Michael, lol. Must have had it a while.. (ok, not technically meeting your brief as M&S is still with us, but this top is old).

I've recently started wearing a skirt I found in the back of the wardrobe that came from Dorothy Perkins. I must have bought it mid 2000s so I'm amazed it still fits (although I think it was quite roomy when i bought it)

Edited to add: I've just googled and apparently dotty p's is still alive as an online shop

CindyBirdsong · 27/07/2024 22:43

My fan is from Woolworths. I also wear a skirt I bought from Miss Selfridge in the 90's.

FourChimneys · 27/07/2024 22:46

Purplecatshopaholic I think DH has a St Michael shirt.

I have a bread bin from Woolworths, and a laundry basket from BHS.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 27/07/2024 22:50

I have a skirt I bought 20 years ago when I was in my 20’s from a shop in Derby called Mondo. Every time I lose weight I know I’ve done well if I get in this skirt.

FriendsDrinkBook · 27/07/2024 22:52

I have some cardigans and a shirt from Oasis before they became Boohoo's bitch. I miss old Oasis.

StormingNorman · 27/07/2024 22:56

I was wearing a pair of shoes from Dolcis in an old photo I saw recently. I don’t still have them though sadly.

Aproductofmyera80s · 27/07/2024 23:00

Still got Christmas lights and decs from good old Woolworths. I worked there so managed to get a lot of decs, however the lights were brought long before I worked there. We also have som decs still from bhs 🥹

Wincarnis · 27/07/2024 23:02

I still have bath towels from BHS, trousers from Planet and a winter coat from Jacques Vert. All three are over 20 years old

BigcatLittlecat · 27/07/2024 23:04

I have a denim jacket from Etam! Must be well over 20 years old now! I wear it in fits and starts! I wore it last week!

PrimalScreaming · 27/07/2024 23:12

Just shows what a loss Woolies was given how many times it's been mentioned already! I did some paper shredding today... shredder had 'Woolworths' stamp on the top. No idea how long we've had it - but still working perfectly!

HouseSmouse · 27/07/2024 23:13

Etam hooded cardigan, it’s at least 20 years old, I can remember debating if I should spend so much money on it! I have a denim jacket from there too, much the same age, absolutely love both items.

Nellieinthebarn · 27/07/2024 23:17

I've got a teapot from Woolies, and some blankets from British Home Stores, although they are on the dogs bed now. DH has a scarf from Man at C&A!

Fizzadora · 27/07/2024 23:19

I've got a pink and white striped vest top that I bought from Grattan catalogue for my holiday to Ibiza in 1985. I wore it with pink rolled up cargo pants and white stilettos.
Also still have a white bobble t shirt from Pippa Dee.

I have two new C&A polo shirts that I bought in May.
They still have lots of stores in Europe.

I did not know that, I assumed they were a British company. DH got his scarf in the Eastbourne branch.

25thCenturyQuaker · 27/07/2024 23:27

I use a brown plastic cleaning caddy inherited from my late MIL, marked "Winfield" (Woolworth's own brand). It's probably 40+ years old.

Malahide · 27/07/2024 23:29

A-wear jeans!! Nothing will ever replace them

LyndaSnellsSniff · 27/07/2024 23:40

I've got a number of these Derek Fowler ceramic toadstool nightlights. I bought them from eBay for DC's nursery when they were tiny and loved them. I can't bring myself to part with them yet but they are currently busily gathering dust.

I have a black jacket from St Michael's, so it must be about 30 years old!

I also have a red top that I bought from C&A.

Cadela · 27/07/2024 23:44

I’ll never get rid of my Jamie jeans. I’m so glad I bought so many pairs. ASOS ones are not the same.

Also have a BHS nightie!

GellerYeller · 27/07/2024 23:45

Loads of household stuff from Wilko. Home Bargains isn’t the same I’m afraid.
Today I wore a Kate Moss for TopShop T Shirt and put a Kookai belt back into my wardrobe having found it in a clear out!
I still miss Oasis and Warehouse. I know they’re online but I miss having more choice if I’m in the city centre.

Blueberrycreampie · 27/07/2024 23:48

Got a lovely jacket from Richard Shops ( if anyone remembers them) which still has labels attached. Also clothes from Etam, BHS etc. I was wearing a pair of trousers from BHS today, 20+ years old, sort of jeggings. 😳

BiscuityBoyle · 27/07/2024 23:51

So much stuff from Wilko. I miss Wilko.
