Biden....Sad

I've just seen Biden introduce president Zelensky as President Putin....its just beyond sad now, surely this has to be a big sway to stepping down?

Oops. Well at least he caught it straight away. Footage not as bad as I thought when I heard. Theoretically, it could have just been a slip - I've done that before when focusing on one thing - but the visuals are so, so bad. He's handing the presidency to Trump on a plate.
Zelensky dealt with that like a champ.
It still astounds me that Trump can even run.
And he had the audacity to talk of Crooked Hilary.

Trump in court

Can Trump run for president as a convicted felon?

Donald Trump has been convicted on 34 counts of falsifying business records. So what happens next?

I'd like to think huge numbers of Americans would just be incredibly relieved to have someone to vote for who isn't very old, suffering from dementia or a felon.

I realise this could be way too optimistic though.

At least one American here who yearns for such a luxury 🙋🏻‍♀️😔 it's troubling times out here (and in much of the world of course, sadly 💔)

Can’t say I feel sorry for the old genocidal maniac. I think there should be an age limit on presidency, enough old men have fucked everything up for everyone else at this point.

You did indeed, Starmer thinks he’s on good form and went through serious issues at pace 🙄

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/article/2024/jul/11/keir-starmer-says-joe-biden-was-on-good-form-in-first-bilateral-meeting

Well what else can he say publicly? Engage your brain a bit.

Linzi2377 · 12/07/2024 06:43

i dont get the sympathisers at all..the world is a bloody mess under him!

He said he was going to be a one term president or did I imagine that?

Are you talking to me? Engage your brain a bit? I provided a source to a previous persons comment not said it was evidence that Biden was cognitively sound.

Fucking rude and unnecessary.

You’re eye rolling at what Starmer said. What else can he say? Biden is currently the president - Starmer is NOT going to publicly say anything other than what he said because he’s a politician. So yes, I was talking to you. Don’t be so ridiculous.

JeezLouisa · 12/07/2024 06:53

It's such absolute arrogance that he refuses to stand down. I would feel anxious being a passenger in a car he was driving, let alone him leading the free world.

Cnon · 12/07/2024 06:54

LibertyDuck · 11/07/2024 23:49

Honestly, what a load of fuss about nothing. I bet most people have called a colleague by the wrong name or forgotten their name at some point.

The issue is he's having chronic Senior Moments.

AphraBean · 12/07/2024 06:57

Blimey as well as calling the Ukrainian president 'Putin', he also called VP Kamala Harris 'VP Donald Trump' in his latest speech.

And didn't pickup or correct himself on it.

Absolutely needs to stand down.

JeezLouisa · 12/07/2024 06:59

Can't Michelle Obama put us out of our misery and step up to the plate?

The irony being I'd rather have a dead Biden wheeled in 4 years than an alive Trump

I wish :( she would be great!

I was listening to LBC the other morning and they were saying she hated the whitehouse so it doesn’t look likely.

Star555 · 12/07/2024 01:24

Yes he called Kamala Harris "Vice President Trump" 😧
You can watch that moment here:

Even without the fact that he called Harris Trump, his answer just doesn’t make sense

They’ve got a matter of weeks to come up with someone better. How, after months/years of worrying about Biden, have the Democrats not found a replacement for him. It just beggars belief, and it’ll be entirely their own fault if Trump wins

I totally agree. I'm furious with the Democrats. If they don't step Biden down they are dooming the US to another Trump presidency. What the hell are they thinking l?

HaveABlastOfThisMatrix · 12/07/2024 07:18

It's crazy and really sad to be honest. Out of curiosity, I watched his inauguration the other day... and the difference between then and now is scary when you view the two side by side. And let's face it, he wasn't exactly overly impressive back then...

Then I stand by what I said, it was a source, and the eye roll was relevant as Starmer shouldn’t have suggested he was cognitively sound which he did, and Biden isn’t.

I also maintain your comment was fucking rude and unnecessary, I bet you’re a really pleasant person out in the real world.

Kinneddar · 11/07/2024 23:21

That's a bit unfair. We don't know what their thoughts are. They might be desperately trying to get him to stand down and he's refusing to. I dont think it's fair to blame them

did you see biden's wife tell him he was doing a GREAT JOB JOE on global media after the debate with trump?

I'd say they know what they're doing alright and if they don't all the more reason to elbow them out.

Gettingbysomehow · 12/07/2024 07:21

Are these the only candidates that a huge country like the US can manage. The worst of the worst. Its a horror show alright.

What else could he say??? Please tell me. As the Prime Minster of the U.K. talking about the President of the USA what else could he have said?

I am actually, I just can’t stand people making ridiculous comments and statements ✌️.

Good grief. If this is true I fear for democracy.

It is true. Video on BBC and he then alludes to it. He needs to step down. I don’t think he needs to be in a home but he should retire.

Gowlett · 12/07/2024 07:44

Michelle is not old, white or male.
If only that wasn’t a job requirement…

The thing is, Biden IS cognitively sound and most of the tine he talks very well - it just doesn’t make headlines. He is actually a very good politician and has achieved huge amounts. But, he IS old, he gets fatigued and his cognitive function then declines.

His main difficulty seems to be name finding. It’s not the worst thing to struggle with BUT it’s enough to mean that he really shouldn’t be in charge of the most powerful country in the world. It’s a younger persons job really. I don’t know why on earth he stood again. I’m angry with him for his lack of insight.
