Very few in the media are even tangentially interested in social care.

Wouldn't matter if LDs had spoken about it every day for 6 weeks.

Farage and the Tory meltdown has sucked the life out of this campaign.

Farage and the Tory meltdown has sucked the life out of this campaign.

I like to think of it as having well and truly focused the (now demonstrably useless) media gaze on the navel of all that is wrong.

If the LibDems do become the opposition, then the Tories will have wasted untold billions on a media campaign that was as effective as the shonky PPE their mates fleeced the country for.

And that, my friends, is Nemesis

Kemi Badenoch may be unable to stand in a future Tory leadership contest because of delays in sending out postal votes Badenoch is standing in North West Essex, where 2,600 postal ballots were not sent out in time If Badenoch wins the seat by a small margin, Labour could be entitled to challenge result and demand a fresh contest She would be a candidate rather than an MP in the run-up to any by-election. There is also concern that opposition parties would pile national resources into seat in bid to remove her

Happy election eve 🗳️🌹

i just saw this, I would particularly love to see her go. But postal votes are a worry in general. And I’m slightly nervous about complacency creeping in and some people thinking they don’t need to vote.

The problem is the media wouldn't be interested in LibDem policies. It's the only way he can get them into the media.

But don't be cross. That's how the LibDems have quietly slipped under the radar.

Exactly that. Nobody’s neutral about the LibDem campaign. We’re split down the middle in this house - Mr B thinks he’s an idiot, I think it’s been a really clever campaign because so many people are talking about it and it’s attracting votes.

Reform appears to be using photos of deceased people as supporters.

Id like to hope this was a mistake rather than a deliberate ploy. But it seems this isn't the only example.

This is what actually happened to this poor lady.

Well there's a copyright infringement if nothing else

RishisLeavingDo · 03/07/2024 12:15

All kicking off in Plymouth Moor View. Johnny Mercer's wife appears to call the police on veterans protesting against him. (The don't appear to be campaigning for anyone in particular...just against him)

Campaigning during an election. How dreadful.

BIossomtoes · 03/07/2024 12:20

Oh dear. If I said what I think of Felicity Mercer I’d be banned. The Tory lack of dignity this election is unbelievable.

Hope you're right

rockstarshoes · 03/07/2024 12:30

James O'Brien did a phone in about Ed Davie & his antics yesterday!

There was a call from a woman who was also a carer, about the fun & joy his campaign had brought to other carers.

x.com/rocknrollhobo/status/1808191196184948978?s=46

It's not all bad!

user8800 · 03/07/2024 12:36

I'm glad others find his antics amusing.

I'm a carer and personally find his "look at meeee" antics, really, really irritating.

Can't we just have stable, boring leadership for a while? No lying, siphoning off public funds, bungee jumping or river rafting. Juat sensible policies, properly costed?

Ugh. I can't stand the man 😒

VoteOutToHelpOut · 03/07/2024 12:37

Thread title suggestion Sunak: another suitcase in another multi million pound home.

user8800 · 03/07/2024 12:38

Sunak: California Man

Notonthestairs · 03/07/2024 12:39

Its not about finding Davey amusing. It's about registering that the press are obsessed with 3 other parties.
It really wouldnt have killed Labour to discuss social care a bit more - or at all.

Johnny Mercer and his wife are both odious individuals. Their £150k pa gravy train is about to come to a screaming halt and they can't cope.

Completely off topic but I want to know what you named the football team 😂😂

For the what's app how about

C U nialated Tory's 😉

They might out me. They definitely show us up as sick puppies. One was ‘Norman Tebbit and the 4 Floor Free Fall’…. (Also dates me)
It’s not big and it’s not clever. I know that now. Was funny at the time.
We had a Union President who was quite an operator. One team was ‘Joe Bloggs and the Four Stresignations’ (names changed to protect the guilty).
On a similar theme to yours was ‘Christian Union National Training Squad’

RishisLeavingDo · 03/07/2024 13:17

😂

My son and his mates had some creative names for their pub quiz team, we were quite surprised he shared them with us and his nan
