Assuming a 1% margin of error is starry eyed believes in fairies statistics...

Yes. And it's also arcane enough to conceal from the punters. Which may explain any oddities that start popping up in client headlines that having accepted the fact the Tories will lose so late, are scrambling to avoid any tactickl push that could burst that 1% and be the 10%.

Make no mistake. The stakes are high, but the prize invaluable. If the Tories are not the opposition then all the cronies will have to look to the LibDems to punt their case. The entire political landscape will have shifted forever. Who will speak for the billionaires and their nesting wads ? Who will protect the non-doms and their delicate dealings ? Not a useless 3rd placed Tory party that will be struggling to choose a leader from dumb-but-won and dumber-but-also-won which they will be left with.

On the basis I never imagined this could even be a talking point, let alone within grasp is a testament to how hated the Tories have made themselves.

Did anyone know that Japanese Emperor is here on a state visit?

It passed my feed. Not really sure what to say. We're friends now, aren't we ? After all we have the Germans over now and then.

Bloody hell Kevin Craig for the Labour Party has been suspended after an investigation has been launched into him by the gambling commission.

😬

Yes, but only becauss it was mentioned in a piece about Princess Anne and concussion the other day.

And yes the piece was as ridiculous as it sounds.

😬

He bet on himself to lose!

Whilst completely bonkers, not sure it's insider betting.

Obviously he's an idiot and I am very cross. But also feel a bit sorry for Kevin Craig who has to deal with Starmer, the world's most terminally disappointed Dad, and the threat of Ange coming round in the battle bus to have a word too.

Indeed. Let's hope the leadership can show Rishi how it's done.

Labour are returning the £100,000 donated by Kevin Craig during Starmers leadership as well.

I think you meant to type the Tories are returning Frank Hesters donation.

Fiddly keyboards, eh ?

SerendipityJane · 25/06/2024 17:56

My newscanner has popped up a full on tinfoil hat headline from the Torygraph about a secret LibDem Labour "pact" over target seats.

I wish I could get paid fucktonnes for waiting month old news.

SerendipityJane · 25/06/2024 17:58

Bit early to tell. But I do find myself wondering if the Labour betting story was deliberately engineered to ensure the Tory one stays above the fold ?

That's a winwin though. If you win, then great, if not, you have some money in your pocket.

I wonder how much he bet?

I agree in the circumstances suspending him pending investigation is the best thing.
