Learn from your enemy. When they go on, and on and on ("but Jeremy Corbyn") then show you will do just the same. Only the chances of us running out of new material are quite low (and that is the problem).

There are still plenty of D-Day memes to go.

Joining in the spirit with a nicked picture of a cat I would have if I allowed myself one...

There was a beautiful silver bengal kitten that lived along the road from us. Unfortunately it loved to sun itself in the middle of the street and although it's a quiet, wide street with "20's Plenty" signs, there are a few numpties who drive too fast along it.....Sad

Interesting photo - going around the table... Sharma threatened to stand down if Sunak watered down Net Zero proposals, the Truss and Kwarteng double act, Lord "Thats not my Brexit even though I negotiated it" Frost, sacked & resigned Braverman, flouncey Dorries, Javid resigned as Chancellor after refusing to bend the knee to Cummings and then again two years later as Health Sec, Zahawi and his tax avoidance and Johnson Paterson/Proroguation/Partygate/Privileges Committee/Pincher. All in the last 5 years and the photo doesn't show everyone around the table.

all very old school with symbolism and hidden meanings.

If you want a wet Sunday livened up, tag along with tour guides in art galleries as they decode pictures for you. "The Last of England" and "The Awakening Conscience" are quite good examples.

The position of what looks to be a mini guillotine is quite amusing.

Politico journalist banned from asking questions at Tory election press conference because they don't like the way we write about their campaign tactics

(This was at a press conference with Victoria Atkins attacking Labour on gender this morning)

Over the weekend, we asked Mumsnetters to submit their questions for Rishi Sunak ahead of a written Q+A later this week - and they didn't hold back. Here's a selection of what our users wanted to ask the PM... #GE24

I am particularly annoyed than in a world that can put a man on the moon, I can't get 366mm foil from anywhere now.

Google is as usual useless. Ask it for "366mm foil" and you get 10 pages of "300mm foil". meaning it has now passed the Jane test for stupidity of insisting on selling what it has, rather than what the customer wants. Possibly the problem, writ large, with political parties.

Notonthestairs · 25/06/2024 14:01

Yes I noticed the lack of usernames. Wonder why!

Once again, this puts the ball firmly in Labours camp, and an early chance to do some weight throwing.

Rish, mate, either you fix it, or we will

Incidentally, the polling numbers when you start increasing the margin of error from 1% to 5% to 10% is really interesting, Tory media are obviously punting the 1% error polls which is hopeful to say the least. If you go to the more expected 5%, their seat count falls like a stone.

This is now not only the chance to remove the Tories from government. It's a shot at reforming UK politics for a generation.

Assuming a 1% margin of error is starry eyed believes in fairies statistics...

And we had spent £100 million storing it.

Starmer is with the lovely Idris Elba today talking about knife crime.

It seems that the media is increasingly focusing on what Starmer is doing rather than 'what's that fool Sunak done now?'
