Fiona Bruce is now interrupting everyone on the immigration question. Cooper and Moran several times, Mitchell once and Flynn once. Now it ends.

To be fair, Cooper and Mitchell were sidestepping the very refreshing question angle.

Moran did directly answer it. Good for her.

I don't know. Looking at Farage's Twitter feed today and the turn out for his events I am not certain now that Reform won't win quite a few seats.

Very much hope I am wrong.

I can’t see how my constituency can go from 75% prediction of turning Labour to 52% Reform in less than a week. It just doesn’t feel credible.

placemats · 27/06/2024 21:05

To be fair @Piggywaspushed, as Shadow Home Secretary, Cooper has access to the Home office and knows exactly what is going on, especially regarding the criminal gangs.

Piggywaspushed · 27/06/2024 21:08

I love Yvette but she didn't answer the question as asked. She answered A question, though.

It was a good QT and very civilised. I just felt it was unnecessary to end it in such a heated way.

Just had a scroll through the conservatives Twitter feed. It’s an absolute shit show. Tax tax tax tax…

If you can stomach it look at Braverman FB page.

I'm am stressed to share a town with most of those responding

I’ve had enough of these infantile joke tweets and videos. This is people’s lives here. I wish we could go back to serious politics with people of integrity.

That's how Sunak is governing - apparently 🙄

I came here having seen Channel 4’s film of Reform in Clacton, I was appalled and sickened by it. It’s chilling, Nigel Farage saying they are not representative of Reform is lying. They’re just not meant to say it out loud 😔

They are who he's made them be.

He may not have set out to enrol the racists of Britain (bing partisan here not saying I believe it) but that's who he's appealed to. And he's nothing to quell that and is now reaping what he sowed.

itsgettingweird · 27/06/2024 21:25

Non partisan

itsgettingweird · 27/06/2024 21:27

My take on Reform is that they are popular because they go further than the Tories.

Judging by Bravermans fb page I absolutely think you've hit the nail on the head here

But how much of the population are they popular with?

bombastix · 27/06/2024 21:31

Why would you go Diet Reform with the Conservatives when you can go full fat and indulge all your petty hatred and polite racism with Reform and be called a patriot? No more having to be polite to those who “aren’t the same as us”. It’s a winner for a lot of people. Farage wants a UK that is much more like Le Pen’s France. So do a lot of others

How is it patriotic, to be in Putin's pocket?

newnamethanks · 27/06/2024 21:35

Just mis-read post above and thought John Major had joined Farage's vile mob. Impossible, thank god . I'd better go to bed.

I am watching 'Can AI steal your vote' on C4

This time next week. Starting to feel nervous especially after watching this.

RafaistheKingofClay · 27/06/2024 22:08

This time next week polls will be closed and Sunderland will have started their race to be first. Anyone else excited?

bombastix · 27/06/2024 22:10

I am childish. But my family are having a list of most hated Conservatives to go. They all come in at 4am so I think we will all be tired and emotional by that stage

user8800 · 27/06/2024 22:19

I got a bingo card poster from red bubble :)

I have to leave for work at 6.30. I think there’s room for a post work sleep, wake in time for exit polls and some early seats and then I’m not sure.

bombastix · 27/06/2024 22:25

Yes staying up late is hard. I took the following day off; but it will be a good victory for Labour @RafaistheKingofClay sp perhaps you will get a good extra restful sleep

Notonthestairs · 27/06/2024 22:26

I'm not linking to it but I see Aaron Banks is agreeing with Robert Kennedy's suggestion that Ukraine should have made a peace deal with Russia from the off.
Which is a load of 💩 for so many bloody reasons. But I have absolutely no doubt where Banks leads Farage follows.
The Conservatives were far more embroiled with Russian money than we'll ever know but I think UK politics will get even murkier now.

I couldn’t get that off but making up for it by going to byline times festival for weekend which was very well timed and promises to be epic.?
