Compared to this corrupt lot, how could she possibly be any worse?

sundaysathome · 26/06/2024 23:21

we're about to see @HannibalHeyes 🤣

bombastix · 26/06/2024 23:22

Rayner. Minister for Housing.

L1ttledrummergirl · 26/06/2024 23:22

Keir, it's Keir Starmer. For fucks sake, if you must deride someone, at least spell their name correctly. Otherwise you are just coming across as rude, stupid or both.

Our local paper had to be reminded of this today when they proved themselves incase of unbiased journalism and the inability to spell Keir correctly.

Thank you to all who wished me a happy birthday, I've had a lovely day, and appreciate the insights into the debate tonight.Wine

I'd rather Angela bloody Rayner than Rishi bloody Sunak. Or Penny bloody Mordaunt.

Some muppets gave Johnson power, and Sunak and Truss. I would rather Angela Rayner 3 times over than any of that shower of shit again.

DuncinToffee · 26/06/2024 23:24

Has CCHQ used the same vetting agency as Reform plc?

Even of you think any of the above PMs were good, it looks very much like Angela Rayner is going to beat their party, even with apparently all the terminal defects attributed to her by various posters. So she has something that appeals to people above these Conservative titans who bestrode the country like a colossus etc etc

A sane Conservative will take a look at why they get beaten by Rayner. A loser will insist that the public needed to vote properly. That’s why the Conservatives are in such a state. They are myopic.

is that your only return critique tonight, in terms of how people have written his bloody name? If that's the only return fire you have, it's piss poor, quite frankly. He's a weak as fuck, ineffectual leader, relying on a magic money tree. He doesn't seem to know or care what a woman is and has consistently refused to back up Rosie Duffield MP when she's been abused by thugs. The key word is weak. Vote away. Regret at leisure.

the country needs a Starmer victory. We get what we vote for (and deserve)

bombastix · 26/06/2024 23:36

@sundaysathome he is 20 points ahead. Now what will you do?

whoever you prefer is less popular? Assuming you have a candidate, why hasn’t that person been able to beat this inadequate?

verdantverdure · 26/06/2024 23:39

Notonthestairs · 26/06/2024 23:06

We've written to @Conservatives to ask them to remove the “Tax Check UK" rebrand of @CCHQPress. This misrepresents posts on the account as an impartial fact checking service. Voters deserve better.

Christ are the corrupt Conservatives at it again?!

They really think their voters are thick don't they?

The Conservative party is now blitzing Facebook with hundreds of adverts telling voters that Labour has committed to rolling out a "national ULEZ" in their area if they win next week. Just an out and out lie.

Who do BBC debate viewers performed better on...

Immigration: Sunak 55% / Starmer 35%
Economy: Sunak 43% / Starmer 47%
Welfare: Sunak 39% / Starmer 51%
Britain's relationship with the EU: Sunak 32% / Starmer 52%
Tax: Sunak 48% / Starmer 37%

Tax?!

Which Mayor of London brought in ULEZ in the first place? (Boris Johnson)

And which Transport Secretary expanded it? (Grant Shapps)

Both bloodyTories!

They're definitely going after the less well informed demographic.

Who do BBC debate viewers think came across as more...

Trustworthy: Sunak 39% / Starmer 50%
Likeable: Sunak 33% / Starmer 52%
In touch: Sunak 18% / Starmer 63%
Prime Ministerial: Sunak 41% / Starmer 42%

That does suggest there’s a number of people who think he’s untrustworthy, unlikeable, out of touch but is Prime Ministerial.

verdantverdure · 26/06/2024 23:48

In touch... Ouch!

bombastix · 26/06/2024 23:49

verdantverdure · 26/06/2024 23:48

That was a good line from Starmer. He should have more zingers like that.

RafaistheKingofClay · 26/06/2024 23:51

Genuine lol at Starmer being a terrible leader. As if he hasn’t managed to transform the Labour Party since 2019.

Tonight yes, it's my birthday, I'm on holiday, rather slightly ever so tipsy and arguing with a random on mnet doesn't appeal. It is fucking frustrating that people don't want a debate about policies, they would rather deride the leaders name instead.

I am mulling over a list of conservative success stories in the last 14 years (it's still quite short), and the list of things they have managed to improve:
The number of small boat crossings has increased
The mortgage interest rate has increased
The number of people without an NHS dentist has increased
The number of patients waiting for an operation has increased
The number of prime ministers with a fpn has increased
The number of fixed penalty notices received by pms has increased

I'll keep working on these lists.

prettybird · 26/06/2024 23:54

Isn't "Magic Money Tree" on the Bingo card for Conservative apologists/Labour haters (delete as appropriate or not Wink)? Grin

sundaysathome · 26/06/2024 23:59

interesting listing the Conservatives failure to stop the boats. The Labour Party are famously and historically pro immigration and anyone who criticises immigration is seen as a knuckle dragging racist bigoted xenophobic twat. It's curious that Starmer's stricter stance on immigration (stop the boats) is now a selling point and not an indicator of his innate facism 🤣🤣🤣

Just because you say it won't make it true.
