@SerendipityJane I have to agree, I'm no royalist, but having a best friend that lost close relatives during restrictions, and watching the late queen sit as she did doing her duty, I won't forgive a Tory government for a long time.... not that I was ever a Tory fan from growing up under thatcher but that really sealed the deal

Unless L/Ds and Green's lend the Labour candidate their vote, Sunak looks to hold on to his seat.

Looks like the plan is working then. He will have to resign his seat on the 5th.

Well done Richmond ! Don't make it easy for him.

If the Tory party ever want my vote back they are going to need a huge change in direction. 😂

Spandauer · 23/06/2024 18:41

Oh - might be a slightly different version but I think it's the same guy who made it as I follow him on Xwitter.

I would.

Notonthestairs · 23/06/2024 17:25

Why would he pull out?

It's not as if he was going to answer the questions personally. They'll have been sent in to a minion to deal with.

I suppose he might be short staffed given the numbers of gambling involved employees.

One of them referred to him as Dishi Rishi and asked for a signed photo...I wonder if it's a stalker we don't know about?
I don't think he will answer any of them. I was expecting a paragraph on whatever he wanted anyway.

This is good news.

BIossomtoes · 23/06/2024 20:05

I think it would hurt him much more to be the first PM ever to lose their seat than to resign it after the election.

RafaistheKingofClay · 23/06/2024 20:07

True. But much less funny IMHO.

This is good news.

It is quite funny if he does actually want to go to California. He's going to have to come up with a great reason to bail if there are people who want him to stay and work, surely? How does a Green Card view shirking a political responsibility?

BIossomtoes · 23/06/2024 20:10

He’s never going to come back from California or seek political power again so he’ll resign and fuck off without a backward glance. I’d prefer to see him go with his tail between his legs.

Marxism and Communism have literally ignored women for years, never seeing them in terms of exploitation. Hence the need for Marxist feminists. Some lovely irony in that there statement.

The British Communist Party and the Morning star have been consistent in their stance regarding TW. Way more consistent than the parliamentary parties or the Times.

Will tour for years talking about his experiences. Prob out earn Boris given he knows about finances. Dream would prob be a job at Stanford whilst going on the circuit and some work for his chums at Goldman Sachs

TooBigForMyBoots · 23/06/2024 22:34

...Sunak looks to hold on to his seat.

Come on, have faith in the man. He's still got 2 weeks to fuck that right up.😆

This poster has gone up on a billboard in my home town today.
Tory since 1950 (the town, not me). Labour predicted to win.

Johnson's turned on Farage now - not linking to the Mail, but the headline is
"Boris Johnson blasts Nigel Farage for 'morally repugnant' claims on Ukraine and says he's 'parroting Putin's lies': Former PM slams Reform leader's 'nauseating drivel'"

Not sure that Mail readers will be able to cope with their heroes turning on each other.
