It’s excellent rage bait. It just shows how out of touch they are and the people I know who buy the DM are assuredly not voting for Sunak anyway, so they’re just spaffing money up the wall.

Limiting who can ask questions hours after announcing a key manifesto pledge seems a bit lazy.

He really hasn’t got the hang of election campaigning, has he? You’d think Isaac Levido would have explained it to him. Although he may have taken his bat and ball home after Sunak ignored his advice about the timing of the election.

Maybe it's a tactical decision. Refusing to take and answer questions is damaging but less damaging than letting him take and answer questions.

Tbf to them Rishi is so bad at dealing with the media that don’t let him talk to people is probably their best strategy. Especially since most of their policies don’t make sense.

You don’t want him getting tetchy all over the country.

Sunak is simply not a stump politician. And so far, the UK has demonstrated a clear preference for leaders who are. Whatever you think of Thatcher, she was quite happy in the trenches - and it showed. (Worth remembering she also defeated an unelected PM). Even John "boring" Major was able to wow 'em.

I was "lucky" enough to attend a Cameron Direct in 2009. Again, even the pig botherer had a good grasp of working the crowd. Thick as pigshit, as it transpired. I mean really thick. Staggeringly thick. How else do you describe someone who stands there and hears nigh on 40 minutes of pretty racist rhetoric and then go on to think "EU referendum - will be a cakewalk" ?

If Sunak wants to act like a WW1 general, that's his legacy choice.

And no one for a single moment seriously believes he is going to be around come July 5th.

Mentioned how Starmer refused all the debates with Sunak. Basically accused him of being scared.

It was straight after Farage said he'd like a televised debate with Sunak and Starmer.

So he was asked but pointedly if Sunak would take up that offer as he seems to think everyone should do it and not be scared!
