@cardibach it’s a mystery to me, it’s like half his outfit is always wrong with the other half. If he had worn long trousers with the rest it would have looked OK or trainers and a T Shirt with the shorts would have been OK

Probably the most doomed campaign in my 63 years of life - even the Torygraph can't be bothered. Remarkable.

The Tories also said last election they would govern the country...

medianewbie · 26/05/2024 18:44

Blimey I'm late to the Parade! (Good thing I'm not 18, doing National Service)

Notonthestairs · 26/05/2024 18:46

Yes, I am sure the Telegraph knows which way the wind is blowing. They'll give Sunak some some support because they need to ensure certain politicians retain their seat. It will be a summer of leadership madness again - like the country has nothing better to do that watch Tory hopefuls come up with harebrained or no brained schemes and commit to funnel cash to Tory constituencies.

Notonthestairs · 26/05/2024 18:47

Very surprised that we've gone 48 hours without anyone standing down.

the80sweregreat · 26/05/2024 18:54

It's very flat isn't it ? The news today about national service etc was an un expected hi light ( if only for the laughs) but mostly it's run out of steam before it's even started and once the Telegraph starts slating you , you know it's not going anywhere fast.
Boris Johnson always had a weird dress sense.
Maybe he got dressed in the dark ?

I have just caught up with the Farage interview. I think he should be charged with inciting racial hatred.

I've just seen that and I'm utterly appalled. And there was me thinking that Farage could not actually go any further down in my estimation. How wrong was I? 🤬

Oh dear. Fake Rishi strikes again.

So @RishiSunak was in my manor of Stanmore in Harrow East today to support the Tory candidate.

It’s claimed he ‘surprised local diners’ but everyone in these photos is a Tory councillor or staffer, without exception.

Don’t be fooled by Rishi.

How long is it before Carrie is 40 and he abandons her?

Sadly for her I think she’s stuck with him unless a better prospect comes along and she leaves him.

DuncinToffee · 26/05/2024 19:15

Deprived Yorkshire communities will see future cuts to numeracy programmes in order to fund the Conservative’s National Service pledge, analysis has suggested.

Doesn't he get it that social media means he can't get away with this sort of thing?

I thought he was a tech bro' or whatever the phrase is.

Stanmore has an interesting demographic that is almost the antithesis of the UK.

Why would Rish! have interest in Yorkshire?

Its up north isn't it?

HannibalHeyes · 26/05/2024 19:37

Exactly! It's only where his constituency is after all. It's not like he spends any time there, except to go swimming.

He does hope to win his constituency in Richmond.

The donors will be looking to try and save the swivel-loon candidates that could front a new National Conservatives in opposition - the Bravermans and their ilk. They all know Sunak is a goner - he looks it as well , dead behind those eyes.

That's on the Thames in London isn't it?

No the one in Yorkshire with the huge swimming pool - the one he will sell when he loses and jets off to California humming like David Cameron on the way out.

After announcing that Theresa May will become Prime Minister on Wednesday, David Cameron hummed a tune as he headed into 10 Downing Street

He is so blinking spineless, same as Boris hiding in fridges can’t possibly even contemplate dealing with anyone that isn’t a fully paid up member of the Conservative party, I dunno just cowardly.

BIossomtoes · 26/05/2024 20:08

I don’t know who he thinks is going to buy the Richmond swimming pool with the mansion attached, there’s not much demand for that kind of place in the Dales.

Just a cost of doing business I suppose.

the80sweregreat · 26/05/2024 20:24

The Sunak's will probably rent it out.
Add it to the portfolio
